Sigh....but my FC is still not so good.
Travelling pattern is 60/40 or sometime 50/50 (highway / city).
Averagely i can get is 10km/l.
Mine is EX(A) and everything is stock.
Driving pattern is rev till 2k for first few gears (in urban driving).
Highway max going at 100km/h (rev around 2.5k)
Never hit 3k rpm before as its still run-in.
Mileage is just over 3k now.
Hmm.....hoping FC will improve after 6k servicing......
bro, have you tried to draw out some oil, er... i don't think need to fill until full full loh.

Re: Metal Bronzee
i dont know how to draw the engine oil out. But i did a check on the tyres and the pressure dropped to 190+ kpa in almost 3wks after 1k servicing. I quickly pump to 220kpa. I wonder if the technician check it in the first place. Am monitoring this 1 to 2 tank of fuel. Will be checking the pressure every 2 weeks of driving now.kqkhlj wrote:pessimizt wrote:Just now went to LK to ask the tech to help to check if engine oil is too much.

Re: Metal Bronzee
bro, just curious, does your car comes with the engine temperature gauge? that stuff used to measure our engine temperature.
kqkhlj- Junior Member
Re: Metal Bronzee
kqkhlj, i think EX doesnt come with the gauge.
I have asked around some SX owners and they said there is a gauge for engine when pressing on the 'trip' button. I have not really see it before but i did read in the manual that some models of Forte doesnt comes with the indicator.
And mine (EX) doesnt have.

Why do you need that Temp thing for??
If you have coolant in the car... that thing is quite useless unless you plan to "wack" your car...

no 'wack' lah....just in case there is leakage or the coolant is not cooling the engine enough....at least have some indicator. if not, i really dont know if the coolant is really cooling the engine.

But honestly lor... chances of that happening is quite remote lor.
Anyway, for the SX... it's not like it's always there also... half the time, most of the SX owners would be looking @ the FC meters or ODO meters... Dun think may of them will bother about the temp.

Re: Metal Bronzee
Me just done CS-II this noon.
Send in at 1:30pm, collected back at about 5:30pm.
Compared with joepele's ride like not much difference.
Maybe because its drizzling a little.
But the feel (silkyness) of the CS-II is nice.
The staff told me they are giving me 24months warranty.
My current shine is 91 (they used a gauge to measure). If it drops more than 10% (82) within 24 months, they will redo the CS-II application FOC.
Other than that, they reminded me to remove all tree saps, bird droppings within 24 hours (by using plain water and cloth) to prevent it from eating into the PPS.
They also gave me 2 bottles of solutions (shampoo and protectant). Its to be used every other 3 to 4 car wash (monthly ?)

Re: Metal Bronzee
pessimizt how much did you pay for the CSII?? also i heard form some members saying that the CSII wash for a few times the shine will be there but the silkness feel will no longer be there already.. itss true? also whats your package like? need to pay any more $$ when u go back to them again for the car wash or maintance thingy??

Re: Metal Bronzee
Hello mighty meow,
i paid $256 (after discount).
Yes i also heard that the silkyness will be gone after 1 week or so. If want it to come back, have to either do-it-yourself (using the protectant they gave) or go back to them and pay $10 (includes car wash and vacuum). You can check out their link : http://www.unique1995.com.sg/CSii/ourrate.html
The optional maintenance should be for reapplying of CS-II coating after 24months and its @ $50. (Just checked with Unique and they told me the re-application is $192.00 and comes with 18 months warranty)
I think the paint protection system (PPS) main purpose is not the silkyness but the protection and shine. I am happy that they are giving 24 months warranty (it comes in a warranty card) for the shine (they will redo for free if the shine drops more than 10%). But come to think of it, i did not do the shine test before they start applying and so i do not know what is the original shine level for new cars.

Re: Metal Bronzee
pessimizt bro is correct. CS-II is mainly to protect the paint of your car. not for you to feel shiok from the silky touch. [quite disturbing if I see ppl keep molesting their car] haha...
anyway, like our human skin. no matter how silky and smooth it is. after extreme and constant exposure to the elements, the silkiness will of course not last. nonetheless, after a wash, you will still see the shine.

Hi bro, they should have done a 'shine % test' in your presence when you collect your car. Maybe you wanna call and ask them about it.

Hi chamot16, yes they did a shine test in front of me when i collected my car. But they did not do the test when i send it in. So i am not sure what is the shine level originally.

Not really zujzuj, here is the update:
Seems to be improving but suddenly dropped again.
I think could be my driving pattern. Tends to rev slightly more when moving off but still trying to maintain within 2500rpm.
And i also let my wife drive which might contribute to the different driving pattern too.
Petrol pumped (litres) | Mileage before pump (km) | Fuel Consumption (km/l) | Remarks |
37.36 | 0.00 | 0.00 | Esso 5000 |
37.62 | 425.00 | 11.30 | Esso 5000 |
39.42 | 424.00 | 10.76 | Esso 5000 |
43.33 | 425.40 | 9.82 | Esso 5000 |
45.32 | 440.70 | 9.72 | Esso 5000 |
45.96 | 489.70 | 10.65 | Esso 2000 |
46.25 | 502.30 | 10.86 | Esso 2000 |
38.80 | 445.50 | 11.48 | Esso 2000 - Tyre Check |

When i collected my car after CS-II, they did a shine test in front of me and note it down on the warranty card. So check your warranty card then... mine is 96% ... so if next measure (within the warrant period) it drops to 85%, i can ask them for CS-II application FOC...

No... i did not... it wasn't in my mind whether i should do a shine test before the application of CS-II, i've already made my mind to go for it after consultation from 2 of my friends (both have diff cars) and they were very happy with the product and service, so i've no doubt for doing so too. Try it for yourself and see the difference. If you don't find it good, you can don't go there any more ..... check out their website and go to their blog... http://www.unique1995.com.sg
