Bro kqkhlj,

Check out this http://www.ceratoforte.forumotion.com/mass-order-f17/gb2-for-spy-alarms-end-30-09-2009-t1390.htm

I have also PM you the actual description of the products for the advertiser. Seems like the alarm and reverse sensors are cheaper than what your SE quoted.
Moreover, these are 2way alarms and 4 reverse sensors. Metal Bronzee - Page 5 332362

Post by pessimizt 9th September 2009, 10:42 pm

Ummm.....i think should be like this:

1-Way:
Simple lock + unlock
Alarm will sound off from car only when activated
Communication from remote to car only (thus known as 1-way)

2-Way: (its something like the remote can ocmmunicate with the car and vice versa thus commonly known as the term)
Many more interesting features, eg:
- Remote start/stop engine
- Alarm will go off from car and will go off from transponder (the remote piece held by the owner) if the distance is near enough (some claims can reach up to 5km. Most transponder will indicate where did the alarm go off (eg. front, back, left side, right side, top, etc)
- Keyless entry (dont know if it is suppose to come with alarm or not) Metal Bronzee - Page 5 Kopfschuettel Meaning when the transponder is near enough to the car, the car will auto unlock by itself
- Lighting warning (to remind owner if forgot to turn off certain lights)

Hope it helps you Forte899. Metal Bronzee - Page 5 332362

Most welcome !
By the way, are you intending to get it ? What colour / model you driving ?
But i see that with the 2-way alarm, the key will have to be seperated with the transponder. Cannot do flip key anymore. Metal Bronzee - Page 5 Icon_sad

Ummm......for the alarm, i dont know how or what to upgrade leh.
There is one for upgrade at the GB for zmc but it seems like its for SX (lock, unlock, boot release). Not so sure though.
Well as for me, i find the current basic one still usable so will be keeping it first. Unless SE never give you or ask you to top-up like kqkhlj, then no choice have to get one.

Hi arkaraka, sure no problem ! Next MU seems so far still because the recent one has just passed and i didnt attend. Metal Bronzee - Page 5 699370

Am planning to do it this weekend.

Am going to get the 018 Spy.

Reason.
1. Dun really like the SPY remote, although could really use the remote start function...
2. Am planning / considering to change to the flip key remote... there is a shop in Ubi who has those...

Installation is @ Toh Guan, they are open after 7pm. Interested to join me?

Just now went to LK to ask the tech to help to check if engine oil is too much.
He then checked and showed me that the engine oil level is within the 2 dots and is fine. I asked him that there are some oil marks above the markings at the side of the metal piece and he said those are not considered. Metal Bronzee - Page 5 Confused
Sigh....but my FC is still not so good.
Travelling pattern is 60/40 or sometime 50/50 (highway / city).
Averagely i can get is 10km/l.
Mine is EX(A) and everything is stock.
Driving pattern is rev till 2k for first few gears (in urban driving).
Highway max going at 100km/h (rev around 2.5k)
Never hit 3k rpm before as its still run-in.
Mileage is just over 3k now.

Hmm.....hoping FC will improve after 6k servicing......

In my opinion, you will be better off without the stick-on. Imagine after say 2-3 yrs, the stick-on starts to come off. Will it make your handles ugly or scarred?

I am not sure bout these sticks-on. You might want to find out more on the nature of sticks-on.

Yup, stick-ons got good (cheaper) and bad (scared it peels off).....but i think is worth a try. If it peels off.........get another one to stick again. Hehehe. Metal Bronzee - Page 5 332362
