Who are stll waiting for COE ?

Unless he paid for the guaranteed COE.
Else, he may need to top up after 6 bids.

book car doesn't mean u got your COE. Only when the company bid for u and got it, then considered yours.

when u booked the car, u already agreed on a price. say 52k.
at that price, it already includes coe.
so no matter what the coe cost (unless below the rebate cost), u will pay 52k.

so the 1.2K difference could be a "loss" to CnC since they cannot ask u top up anymore.

on another suituation where the bid 12K and got the coe for u, u cannot ask for refund
of the 2k difference. so in this case, it will be a "profit" for CnC.

i put profit and loss in qoutes since in the 52K u paid, there is always a few thousand dollars
that is considered a profit margin. so either way CnC will not take an actual loss.
smaller profit but still profit.

Congrtas Pegasus..... walau.... ur original coe is 4k or 5k and top up 3K, then got COE for 15K,
"earn" 7K minimum instantly. but of course they asked u wait for 4 months, at least u got "compensentation".

Ya... Pegasus confirm got a super good deal on the COE, at a expense of 4 months waiting tho....

When I told my fren my COE margin was from 8k to 15.5k, he said I was very lucky to get the high side of it, which is 15.2k.
Jus imagine the last COE bid was 8k, CnC will gain lots of profits from us!

Sigh.. I know. My bargaining powers pretty pathetic right? Actually thing was when my SE asked what i want, after looking at the list on the left i really scratched my head... dunno what else to add.. I wanted b/k but no stock and must collect car then go back in 2mths to install... quite lecheh .

hindsight on reading forums,should have asked for rust-proofing.. coupla big brand names being thrown abt so new buyers keep a ear open... But.. the SE's coments seem to be true. The more goodies u ask for the longer you're gonna take to confirm COE. For me i got my foot in at the door just after COE went frm 11-12k... final COE @ 14k so i'm really happy. In fact alotta other posts i've read abt nasty trick management plays with the 6 bids for the COES for those who really eat up the profit margins with freebies galore, plus COE price skyrocket.. All kena end up road to perdition..

anyways im glad to join the forte gang! hope to meet u all an pimp/trick out my ride ASAP!!! already plannin for LEDs hehe... any idea if any other bks on the market?

That time my SE told me he will bid my COE at $9889. Evening he call me again and confirmed that i got my COE and the COE that day is $9889. I was damn happy and went to buy 4-D. But knn never tio.. zzz....

Relax bro, COE went up 900+ only compare to last result which mean car demand is still not too strong and is due to backlog. Wait for few more round to clear the backlog. I believe the COE will come down in 2nd week of August.

Guys.. may i ask, how long is the average waiting time for you to get ur car after you attain ur COE?

I think better buy before Oct 09 before another 24% quota cut. Just monitor the COE result in August and see whether the LTA will implement another quota cut in Oct.

hi bro... sorry to hear that.. but just wanna share that it happened to me too... I got my COE at the 3rd try and on that wednesday just before the COE bidding closed, I monitored the price and keep calling my SE until she got the hint and top up for me... that was how I got it...

think on your part you might need to add some pressure on your SE.. if not, like what many of my friends told me, they will enter your price in the morning and then will leave it alone... so if bid unsuccessful, they'll just take it they've tried their best...

so bottomline is, monitor closely and add some pressure on your SE before 4pm on that wed when COE is closing... good luck!

I booked mine from UBI also. Didn't ask for freebies cos scared wait too long for coe. However, Still out-bidded during last bidding by $100+.

Yes. Such phenomenon can only happen in Singapore.

Feeling disappointed/lamented for not being able to own a certificate which basically tells you that you will have to start paying/losing money for your vehicle.
