Well what matters is, I love my car. My family loves the ride. I will not care whatever things being said to the fortes on the road. I'm driving one, I know how it feels. I believe all the bros and sis who are driving the Forte know its worth. Just felt like taking my thoughts out of my mind.

Post by impact2001 11th November 2009, 12:24 am

lol.. same experience i got.. When i was deciding which car to buy.. A lot of ppl including my boss come and tell me, JAP cars are good. If wan buy korean car, at least advante can make it (that time they nv even hear of FORTE).. When I told them I am going for FORTE, they all give me blur look.. ask me where is it from. I say KIA, all immediately say KIA CARs CMI.. But I tell them, go take a serious look at FORTE.. All still don't believe it. Then I happen to make a trip down to taka roadshow, bring back the booklet where KIa make comparisions with various models.. All look liao and say **** la..

Nvm.. I still go with my idea of booking FORTE. Then when eventually FORTE is launched especially the advertisment come out on TV, all was so impressed with the design and look, but sad to say the advertisment abit bluff also.. That time got show with push start button.. All thought this car which I bought at that time really come with almost technologies u can find it and not in others jap cars...

If i nv bought FORTE, I guess i will forking out more money to pay my monthly installment for MIT LANCER GT. haha.. It was FORTE that give me a room to breath!!!

Simple math. Unless you have alot of money. The best car is one which you can use comfortably without complaining about the cost. If you buy the best car in the world but becos of the cost and dun drive it, it will be the worst buy of your life.

Question about the audi daylight LED......the highlights are left on auto all the time?? Means no need switch off at all?? :-) Wont it be very stressful for the light and thus shortening the lifespan?? Just asking. :-) Cos even for Forte, I dun use the auto headlights function. :-)

At the beginning of the year, when the economy first fell, I heard like there were 2nd hand R8s going for only like 300k, and that time, less than a yr old. Dunno got 6 months or not. :-) Usual price about half a million rite?? :-)

i guess they have switches for it.. but u know.. when u drive audi.. of coz must show off that LED.. since they can already purchase audi R8... what's the big deal for them to replace a new headlamp since its a small amount to them..

unlike us.. a head lamp blow only.. we start curse and swear! lolz

Friend looking down on Forte - Page 2 Icon_lol I realise I never took picture of my ride until on collection day of My Forte. Then I quickly took a few picture before it was drove off. For remembrance. Then when I am choosing picture for avatar, realise I never took picture of My Forte except when it's damaged in an accident.

Oh yeah, BTW today just refuel the Mit Lancer EX. When I press on the ODO, I am surprise! The meter read 11.9km/l. WTF! It's a 1.5l Jap car with 16" rims and the reading lose to My Forte? So the myth of Korean car more fuel hungry is busted. When I pump the tyre, then I realise the rear break drum. Where did the cost of the car go to? Friend looking down on Forte - Page 2 Confused

Is it? I don't know, but 1 of the bad remarks about Korean car is drink fuel like drink water. I drove my manager's Daewoo many years back. Just to and fro already drop by 2 bars. My Vios fuel consumption is 14 km/l but My Forte is 12km/l. So I thought this bad remark is true.....

I still have stares at my workplace. Even my regular customers keeps tab on my mods....like going "Wah change body kit" "Wah nice grills"..... He too wants to get the Forte but due to the financial strain, he's stuck with the Cerato (Old Model). Many people driving the oid cerato seem to be wanting to get the Forte but they are stuck with the loan. A quick check done on sgcarmart yields 59 records for the old model. And I don't know why, there were 4 records found for Forte. Wonder what's the reason for them to sell.

I am quite a heavy footer. So far pump 3 tanks with My Forte. Best is 7.8l/100km and worst is 8.3l/100km. I think FC won't be very much affected with upsizing your rims. BTW, mine is AT on 17".
