1) 11 pcs 3/4" 2m rubber insulator ($2 per
unit),
2) one can of adhesive glue ($7 per tin)
3) 4 rolls of
rubber adhesive tape ($7 per roll in box)
4) 3 pack of cable ties,
thin and black type.
5) Bring own scissors (big ones), and one
tiny glass bottle to contain the adhesive glue.

Total is about

Breakdown:
11 x $2 = $22
1 x $7 = $7
4 x $7 = $28
Total = $57

- about 2 packs of cable ties (supplied by boycott)
- bits of rubber insulation (about 1.5m in total)
- bits of adhesive tape (about 20cm)
- glue (half tin)

hmm weird weird de.. some time i turn on till 25 i can feel the coldness.. but some time i must turn to 23 dan can feel the cold.. dun knw if its working anot ... lol..

i guess if its juz a little portion of the pipe is exposed it shouldn''t be a problem.. anyway its juz to cover the pipe and not let the hot air go in.. so if most of the areas is covered, it should be cold right?.. hmm anyway shall monitor dis few days... sat and sun keep on raining till some time i dun even feel warm at all... no chance to test...lol

Thanks for teaching us how to DIY. Can feel the diff on my EX, now no need to turn the knob to lowest temp. One thing I notice now is tht some water drip out from the gaps of insulation tube, is it ok?

ooh ya hor i did not go and see if there is any water coming out after i parked.. lol shall see tonight.. hee.. hmm so its not normal if there isn't any water coming out??

Ummm......the pipe will definitely have condensation one. Just like when you guys arrived and opened the bonnet, the a/c pipe is full of droplets.

Just that right now, the droplets will follow the rubber insulation and drip out at the openings / gaps.

The water that is condensed is usually cool, so when they ooze out to the exposed (not insulated) areas, they help to keep them cool too. Heh. wah, smart la me...

Until now, cannot really feel the big diff...
Maybe is the weather, or maybe is me.
