i start work quite early.. so not much traffic on e highway.. once hit highway can drive all e way(from jurong to changi) without braking..

my knock off timing also just nice can avoid e evening jam..

i seldom rev above 3000rpm n try to keep my right foot light too..

btw my aircon temp is set at 22 - 23 deg(cold enough for me)..

But if ur car didnt rev to mid-high range before also not good. some time must give short burst or rev and some time constant mid range rev n slowly climb up to high range. Give ur new engine some light seasoning up down left right and it should give u problem in the long run Fuel Consumption - Page 2 Icon-angelFuel Consumption - Page 2 Icon-angel

however i noticed something.. when my speed is ard 130km/hr and did a sudden brake, the car doesn't seemed to be able to pick up speed on a slight slope and maintained @ 100km/hr until the car reached a flat ground or down-slope. No matter how much i step on the accelerator, it juz refused to pick up speed leh.. I released and stepped on the accelerator, it didn't really help oso..

I guess it applies to all 1.6L auto. One way you can do is switch to steptronic if you find that you can't climb the slope and you will feel the difference.

Obviously your car did not down shift gear to pick up speed... gradually stepping on the accelerator will not do anything as the auto gear will stay on fourth gear. What must be done is to release on the accelerator, then step hard on it.... you should then feel the gear downshift and speed picking up. Otherwise, shift gear to left and down.... then step on accelerator.

I prefer not to use the steptronic often, coz i dont really focus on the rpm. I'm also not sure of kia's history of their auto gear box. I know honda jazz has alot of issue with auto gearbox.

I think the steptronic is really useful in places where there is steep slops like up n down genting. That is for sure i'll use. Very Happy

Thout most of the calculation got around 12km/ litres .

100 / 8.5 = 11.76
