Anyone know whats the fuel consumption for koup ???

dunno. neber realli keep track. but a tankful can cover over 500km+. and car not fully run-in yet which isn't too bad.

it should be the same as forte....since both use the same engine just different body but I dont think the weight different between forte and koup is too far off either...

should be relatively good, able to match the hyundai avante
there is a thread on forte fuel consumption, you might wanna check that out... should be around 13 - 14km/l

koup has a muffler, forte doesn't so if you press accelerator harder you'll hear more noise than on a forte
i believe unless you like the sound, you might be lesser trigger happy and that might save you an extra .5km/l

all cars hv a muffler la. if no muffler, a car will sound like those loud race car liao.

anyway, i find that the koup's exhaust sounds abit like what you'll get when there's a small hole in the muffler.

when you guys say the koup can't run i really wonder is it because you have too high expectations or the car really slow...
waiting for my koup to come to test it out myself!!!

im getting average 8.5l/100km before 1k service.. now am getting average 7.5l/km..that very good fuel consumption..hope to get average 7.0l/km after run in and change to syn-oil on 10k service..full tank can run abt 620km.

wow... how u do tat?? i wan gd fc too =(

yep, in an outright sprint, maybe even an MPV can beat the koup. but when a sharp corner appears, there's where the koup will shine.
but fundamentally, the koup is not a performance car. too many ppl confuse sporty looks wif sports car performance. read in MCF some ppl start comparing the koup to a GTR or ferrari. wat a bunch of idiots.

the koup is an affordable lifestyle car. period. and there's nothing wrong wif that.

well i tried the chevy cruze 1.6 and it had really slow pick ups
but the forte was ok in my opinion and it was surely not slow although i've never tried it past 60km/h

of course i'm not comparing against super cars but against normal cars like the civic or altis i don't think koup is far slower
anyway once i get my car then i'll know for sure

the cruze is heavy, that's why.

i wouldn't call the koup S-L-O-W but it's certainly not a supersprinter. same for civic, altis and all the bread n butter sedans. the koup is no faster or slower than the usual suspects. it's juz becoz of the sporty looks, ppl suddenly expect a 1.6l or 2.0L car to perform like a TC supercar.....all at 60k+! haha.

probably... if the tuscani can get its reputation for being slow, the koup will surely be worst
i've even heard people telling me that the rx8 is slow too
wonder why nobody calls the integra slow though

Dont buy the Koup if you're looking for a fast car, 0-100 under 8 secs... or even for good FC. Buy the Koup for its revolutionary looks coupled with a 60+k price tag. Cheers! If you want all the above listed specs, then buy Audi A5 at double the price..

Oh yah my bad... $182,000 LOL! Almost triple....~ How bout the BMW 320i Coupe? $142,000 or the Renault Laguna Coupe $130,000.... All so much exp as compared to the Koup. Im a family guy now.. if i were not I would've bought the Koup. But too bad, my wife and my baby is priority now. All I can do now is to add poisons to my ride-to-be

go for M3 please almost $300K, got style, got looks. Sitted once b4 G-force like sitting in jet plane butt stuck in the seat.

got easy solution: buy the koup as a 2nd car and still keep the 1st car as the daily family-friendly car.

i'm getting 10-11l/100km for my 2L manual..... only 1.3k mileage. mostly city driving....

for 2L 11km/L is very good already

My take - i purchased the Koup as it is the most completely packaged 'coupe' available. Affordable, feature-rich(as in accessories) and best of all its look.

Its actually flattering that there are people out there comparing it to a GTR, A5 etc.

Please do not try to drive too fast and 'chionh' at a light. Let others admire our curves, all packed into a $60k(only) body!

the fact that our 2L koup is priced the same against a 1.6L civic already tells you that GTR is in a different league

anyway of all the cars, i think the GTR is legendary... it'd be difficult to even name cars of similar class and caliber

the koup is rated to have a similar fuel economy as the forte n avante if anybody wanna compare, it should be fuel consumption that the koup will shine!

Yeah, on one hand it's absolutely and utterly ridiculous to compare the koup to a ferrari-eater like the GTR but on the other hand, it's a great compliment that ppl's brains turn into jello becoz of the koup's looks. Kinda like someone meeting a hot chick and suddenly the brain goes blank and stupid words come out instead.
