Fuel Consumption become worsen after service at CnC

Why the Fuel Consumption become worsen after the first 1K service at CnC ?

Before this Fc was ard 7.5-8.0/100km

after service, become ard 9.0/100km

might be they floor the accelerator to test engine, exhaust etc. 8-9 seems to be an acceptable change....

Don't worry its normal......

check engine oil, see if its overfilled

sometime i really wonder when they give us "free car wash" did their employee turned on our car engine and aircon while washing?

So far i noticed my air con always turned to 18 degree, full blast air con and my mp3 song didn't start playing at where i off it..

the worst part.. i have an habit of off everything (air con and radio) before i switch off.. but when i collect my car.. woohoo... full blast air con

pehaps tat's the reason why the FC increased

another one of those topic to "blame" cnc again? sometimes i pity the AD.

They might have switched on the engine and let it idle for sometime.
Try driving around for awhile, if the FC is still quite high, better check Engine Oil level like what carman mentioned.

This has been on-going for many months and has affected many bro/sis in the forum too.

monitor for a week or two, shld be back to normal after ur next petrol top-up (remember to reset e FC meter)

if the fuel consumption is worse due to them switching on the air con then it means that the car is ok.. which is partially good news yeah?

if the engine oil is overfilled, it will continue to be bad and can damage ur engine. so please do check it, its not 'normal' for engine oil to be overfilled, thats for sure. like what pessimistz said, its affected alot of us and its still happening (as of yesterday).

Surprisingly, my FC improved by 0.5 L/100km after 10km, switched to full-syn. But after a while, realized not much change. Maybe due to myself being more agressive on the accelerator after 10km.
