I use a 2nd account because using public computer, scare mod account kena hack, key logger program all that.
Anyway the knocking sound gone, they fix a suspension damper. Most of my problem fixed except
1. car banking left (mech die die say no problem, he test drive)
2. Rikecool solar film (no time to do, ask me go ubi rikecool do n they called them to notify )
3. Cold temp indicator (mech say only EX auto got?? )
4. steering wheel click sound (they didnt encounter any, i shall monitor again)
5. Left leg compartment HOT! (mech say aircon heater is located around there bo bian, but i tot someone mention his mech say is the engine extractor )

Guys, gather a list of owners who complain about the hot area near the center console and email to the manager then add another line below saying that you all will take photos of few pictures of different area around your legs together with digital thermometer readings, if they decide to sit ard and do nothing, those same photos may circulate ard or may end up in stomp and youtube with a heading 'C&C in SG brushing cerato forte owners off with different excuses' kekeke

Hmm, that's like shooting oneself in the foot. Picture 3-5years down the road, some of us want to sell the forte...and a potential buyer goes...."I remember the forte got this major problem posted on stomp".
Just feedback to CnC with the problem. If there's sufficient amount of feedback, they'll look into it eventually.
The hump knock sound is one example, some of us bros already got the issue fix.
Fortec- Senior Member
Re: C&C servicing
I never say to post it up before the manager could react to it, just a scare tactic to make the manager go straight into it. Why scare tactic ? ask ourselves, how long did it take for the AD to recognize the knock problem even after owners complaint ? Nothing wrong to change their bo chup attitude to now look into it attitude.
eraser- Junior Member
Re: C&C servicing
Don't think it will help at all lor.
The scare tactic will not work, since like Fortec say, if u post and bad name the car, next time hard to sell. And they too will know that because of that you won’t post the pic lor knowing that if u bad name the car u will have prob selling next time.
I rather talk to them nicely. Worse come to worse next time u say u won’t buy kia car or wont recommend ppl that’s all.

If you choose to talk nicely, why not try to gather 20 of the owners to go talk to the manager nicely perhaps buy some kopi along the way to treat them
Like you said scare tactics will not work so why bother to tell them you will not buy a kia or won't recommend to others ?

Re: C&C servicing
tish wrote:why email manager when SG kia wont bother
Really don't bother meh? Then y some bros get their HKS fix liao.
But for bull case, it should be pretty straight forward as tyres are easily available in SG.
Fortec- Senior Member
Re: C&C servicing
scare tactic wont work, cos u already paid the money. end of day it will just affect owner like us.
however if u talk about not recommending friends and not doing repeat purchase it affects their future sales, then maybe it might...
But won't discount having 20 ppl tell them the same stuff, just like our hump knock sound.

Re: C&C servicing
hmmm posting it online will also affect future sales isn't it ?
and not recommending nor repeating purchase doesn't change the fact that you have paid the money right ?
So let's go for the best solution which is like what you said, talk nicely with the management with a group of owners

Re: C&C servicing
hmm.. my 2 cents worth.
scare tatics definitely have effect. But it could be a double edge sword. What you would want to do is talk to someone that can make an independant decision. someone that dun need to talk anyone else to decide if they can rectify the problem.
In this case, if you raise the problem up, see what they are telling us. Talking to people at the ground who can at most patronise you when it comes to COST issues will leave you chasing wild gooses. Waste time! Bro tish said the mech told him it's air-con heater just sums up their attitude. During my rectification, I was informed (by the senior manager) that this heat problem is coming from the exhaust system having insufficient insulation. Who's right?
I feel that I too have an issue with the heat, and i'm even willing to pay a token amount to have the problem rectified. Even if this is a manufacturer's shortcoming, C&C as the AD in Singapore could lead the way by helping customers here to solve the problem. This would certainly build up their reputation locally and globally.
For discussions please.

Heat wrap the entire section of the exhaust from the extractor onwards? Wonder how effective it'll be. Saw two cats along the exhaust, one with the lambda(oxygen sensor) that sit right below the gear change area, that's where we experience the heat, and the other one is further down below somewhere between the front and back seats.
Only 1 tiny thin metal plate shield the chassis from the first cat.

Re: C&C servicing
i think no use one.... unless the wrap is very good ceramic quality but going to cost a bomb.
actually can check if the price is high, maybe get a header to replace our extractor and it may solve the problem, coz there is no cat for the heat to build up.

Re: C&C servicing
its true for 0-1k but i was advsie by some memebrs here can stright change to full syn. Probably mineral they dont earn and its free labour somemore? not too sure.
I am ok with 1k using mineral, since the engine is still quite new. 5 k most likelt going for full syn

Ya. that's what i was shown too. You dun mean wrapping the exhaust right? What I'm thinking more about is actually placing insulation materials on the car body. That day i also had the opportunity to see the undercarriage of the mit lancer, the insulation actually stretch all the way, compared to our one small metal piece as bro fortec mention.

Re: C&C servicing
Dear Forte Members,
I would like to share my experience on my 1K servicing at Pandan Garden. Send my car for service 10 am today.
Following are the issue I would like to rectify:
1) Front suspension knocking sound
2) Hand break need to pull high (compare to normal car)
3) Rikecool (have feel bubbles on the passenger window)
4) Visor not given when collecting car.
5) BK not install when collecting car.
They call me up 1230pm to collect my vehicle. I reach there at 1pm.
Customer service advise visor and Bk need to wait till end of July or mid August. Rikecool problem need to go to their wkshop at Ubi. The rest is all done.
Take over car and test drive around the humps within the parking area. The hand break is fine. But the knocking sound is still there!
I complain to the customer serviceman and he explain that there's no stock availabe to solve the knocking noise problem.
My face change instantly and demand to see their supervisor immediately. Supervisor come to me and explain that it require more time to rectify the problem. "Come on man.... are u guys working in the same workshop? How come you guys are saying different thing?" I said.
Supervisor ask me to hang on as he walk to check with the mechanic. He came back saying he is able to rectify the knocking noise problem and ask me to come back later. WTH !!!
Wasted my time coming back !!! Luckily my office is very near Pandan. No choice LL have to go back.
Still waiting for my car now.
Conclusion: Check all fault before leaving the service center. Look
for supervisor if customer service crew cannot fulfill your
request.

Re: C&C servicing
Guess the service @ pandan and ubi are the same - below satisfaction level that is...
at least u got a call from them... i remembered i had to send my car into workshop 2 days after collection as the "check engine" light was on - sent the car in early in the morning... had to call twice to check before finally collect at 2 plus. In the end the explanation was that the spark plug was loose... i mean harlow? that needs to take more than 4hrs to rectify?
Somehow still prefer a designated service advisor (SA) who will inform you wat wrong with the car and whether the car is ready for collection. At least when in doubts, u can call the SA directly instead of the receptionist who knew nuts what is going on to your vehicle. In a way, C&C can also cultivate better relationship with the customers, although the r/s is quite jialat nw...
In fact after that incident, SE helped me complained to the customer service mgr @ ubi... but i doubt there's improvements if the culture is like tat... haiz

I think LK is highly recommended.
Thats from what I hear from forums and my own frens who does servicing with CnC.
Thats also why I choose to travel there despite being so far from my office or home.
