Forte 1.6 EX(A) - kakis who are still waiting, fall in!

may i check with u all for the EX model u all bought now, got how many Air Bags n Disc Brakes?

airbag only 1. (driver only)
disc brake only 2. the other pair is drum brakes.

some of these factors that made ex cheaper compared to sx.

anyway, with the wait for our beauty to get our hands on, will there be any form of rebate given to ask due to the fact that we are already paying coe even before our shipment arrive??

any feedback would help clarify my doubts on this issue. thanks

He was not allocated. His manager said the Korean will send them 1 more shipment this month, more EX then Sx.
No actual date was confirmed yet. Let keep our finger cross!

oh. That will be good to hear. Firstly, i thought the coe will start on the day i got it. That means won't waste 2 months of coe le. Anyway, for the latest shipment that came, only sx. Think those who booked it earlier will be ahead of wait list. I booked in jul.

i feel that diff SE will give diff excuses. most importantly the SE really remember u then help you reserve your car. shipment also must prompt man... hopefully by time our shipment comes, the frequently encountered problems will be solved. and also with nicer interior and improved version of the car... but seriously, 1-3 months kimchi land can't do much leh i think...

Colour and availability from kimchi land matters alot also besides your SE.

Let's see the combinations -> Manual have 1.6 EX, 1.6SX and 2.0 SX and Auto also 3. Total 6 combinations.

But of course for those who got their COE for a few months, the waiting is way too long. Booking could of course be longer but no AD will book the car unless your COE secure already also.

End of the day, see heng suay at this point of time since more people were looking at forte with the 6 combinations.

Maybe you can call your SE if you wish to know more thing about your car, or you can visit this forum as there always news and feedback from the people down here regarding whatever topic you want to know.

seemed like a forwarded msg to all his customers.

is the wait time for other car makers like this too? (honda, hyundai, etc.. except for merc and beemers)

means the rumoured additional sept shipment is not true de?
you booked july already still waiting.. i booked 10aug will wait even longer.. ahhh.. should i change to SX!!! my se reserve one sx auto for me same colour but need to top up 6k .. argghh..

zhuzhumao: i think when car arrive at shipyard, still must do vehicle registration with LTA, bid the no. plate liao then drive to the collection point. that wait will be the longest for anybody who knows their ride already in sg...

anyway, now just enjoy the freedom of not paying erp and coupon parking first lorh. heehee

i think most of them here has the effect on them while waiting for their ride.. for me i carpool with 2 other colleagues and they been asking when my ride will come.. i always sian half as i always tell them soon lo, maybe next mth... or when shipment come then see how... basket.. till now still no news.

My SE just called me and say their shipment this time got a few more SX (A)
and ask me if I'm keen to upgrade to SX.. and my colour is Metal Bronze..
say if I want to change, top up $6K more as now SX price very high after
the COE increase.. ask me to consider and let her know by today..

not sure if it's worth it to upgrade to SX coz all EX and SX models got ESP.. Prob good to get EX and den do up the rest on ur own esp if you want to do a lot of changes on ur car and this way can be more cost effective? unless ur SE gives more freebies wor.. the next few differences are quite aesthetics - dashboard, exhaust pipe, different buttons for the aircon mode.. for chrome handles, can get from outside and will be cheaper..

but only willing to rebate $200 and throw in car mat for me..

if its ex then i will get car alarm, reverse sensor and car mat..

i tot SX being more ex will have better freebies like gps, reverse camera, body kit, solar film etc.. so disappointed.. i upgrade to SX also benefit c&c what.. why make it so difficult like that

my se gave me reason that now coe is high and the price of SX actually goes up already blah blah.. the $200 rebate is to compensate for the car alarm and reverse sensor that was promised on my ex which now sx already got so no need to install..

I believe you have already secured ur COE at a lower price..
So whats the issue about COE high now???

coe high means they can sell the car at higher price thus earning higher profit margin?

coe High they wil have to sell at higher price, it's complement to each other. Cos they will have to bid higher. Price of the car without coe mostly remain same.

Ya, one of my friend calculate based on.....

total cost - coe - omv to see if that particular month worth it or not for the pricing.
