CVVT engine?
Is our car having a CVVT engine? If it is, why didnt they stick the cvvt logo?or maybe they are going to bring another batch of forte having cvvt just like hyundai did to their trajet?

Re: CVVT engine?
Kia and Hyundai 1.6 engines are CVVT-engineered. They don't need to stick "CVVT" logo like the Toyota's VVT-i. We know it is there already.

Re: CVVT engine?
if u know the engine well.. u will know it create with CVVT technology.. that is the reason for them not sticking the emblem.
I wont want them to paste too.. Lolz..

Re: CVVT engine?
I asked myself this question before. The car brochure said both 2.0L and 1.6L are both CVVT.
Hence I assumed it is CVVT.

Re: CVVT engine?
think those stick with CVVT cos that is the main selling point.
just like VTEC back in 90's?
Nowadays only MIM and MIC would want to should about this.. many moves on with DSG, XWD etc.. haaa..
personally i think forte have too many selling points and this would not be the main... haa..

Re: CVVT engine?
I always think the word "CVVT" is used for the type of auto transmission rather than type of engine..... think I m outdated liao....

Re: CVVT engine?
CVVT = Continuously Variable Valve Timing?
similar valve opening technology such as VTEC / CAMPRO / VVT / VANOS. etc...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuous_variable_valve_timing
hope this helps.

engine technology = VVTi
gearbox technology = ?? auto / CVT

Re: CVVT engine?
Most of the car are using CVT now..
Honda Jazz using CVT yet Honda Fit using DVT.
That is the reason why there's gearbox issues during the first 2 batches of Honda Fit..

Re: CVVT engine?
I think CVT tech is efficient but kind of boring.. underpowered feel to many.

Re: CVVT engine?
still better than most convention gearboxes that shift like a snail and give you a jerky affair.
so far, the best auto gearboxes are twin sst, dsg, s-tronic, and others. Manual gearbox is no match for these.

Re: CVVT engine?
actually isnt it better to have 7 gears for auto ? The ride will be even smoother n maybe even save more fuel ?

Gamma II CVVT Engine. New kim-chi engine technology. Why bother the badge. You don't see Lamborghini wearing V8 badge.

Re: CVVT engine?
personally i think forte gearbox is abit too low.. 5at would be the best choice.. i think... it seems the car low speed FC is kind of bad... (understandably)...

Re: CVVT engine?
