Hi all 2.0SX owner,

Isit normal for 2.0SX engine to be hot after 5~10 mins drive(just normal drive w/o speeding)?

I can feel the heat on the 2 side of the Shift lever gear box area so I open the bonnet just now and it's pretty HOT...HOT 2.0SX Engine very HOT 316913 .

I have not encountered such issue on my previous 2.0 Nissan Cefiro so would like to know from all 2.0SX user 2.0SX Engine very HOT 699370 !

Please advice 2.0SX Engine very HOT Icon_pale !

hmmm... i remember seeing a joke.. there is one person who basically make use of his car thermal to cook breakfast (wrapped up in the aluminium foil) while driving to his destination.. lol

This appears to be the case for all the Fortes. Something to do with the catalytic converter and the exhaust placement... 2.0SX Engine very HOT Icon_rolleyes

No wonder the air conwater dripping is more compare to other branded car 2.0SX Engine very HOT Kopfschuettel ...HOT inside the engine compartment 2.0SX Engine very HOT 316913 !

mine is 2L oso.. i think this has been discussed b4.. not just 2L.. the 1.6L oso got this issue.. i thk someone mentioned b4 CnC reverted tat it is due to the catalytic converter is located at tat location.. im ok wif the heat generated near the gear box but there is once i put a chocolate sweet in the holder n kinda melts a little..Razz anyway not a big issue 4 me.. as for the engine i guess its pretty normal to be hot even after 5 mins.. Smile

I afraid that all the cabling inside the engine compartment can't withstand the heat for long run...later sikali a day got fire ..how 2.0SX Engine very HOT 316913 ?
