Re: Fuel Consumption
Oh yah forget to mention, the average FC meter isn't always accurate. My first 3 tankfuls were all either too high or low by close to 1km/l. For instant I got 7liter/100 == 14.28km/l, but my manual calculation was 14.96km/l.

Hmm.. Read some where about that too.. But also, there is also a post here about filling up your tank to the max so as to reduce waste of petrol from evaporation (due to more air in the tank) Not sure which is more significant. The extra weight of the petrol, or the petrol we lost throught evaporation.

Bros,
Relax... The FC will settle down after the run-in period. Must have some faith is the system when the powers-that-be tested the 2-L model for fuel efficiency for them to post on an official website, right? The Gamma and Theta engines are very different engines after all?
=)

jason, how to use cruise control?
to start the cruise control system, press ON/OFF button and it will turn on. The green cruise word will appear on the dial.
once u comfortable with the speed u driving, push the level button to SET, the word SET will also appear on the dial.
During SET, when u want to cancel, either push the brake pedal or press the cancel button. The word set will disappear from the dial
During SET, when u want to over take cars, just press accelerator for quick pick up, once u let go pedal, it will return to the "set speed"
During SET, if u want to trim the speed a little slow or fast, just push the button lever + or -.
Once u dont want to use the cruise anymore, press the on/OFF button again to off.
sound complicated, but when u use, its relatively easy... enjoy

Lol 2 Liter is like that one, more horse power more respond and drink petrol, be gentle on the pedal and the FC should increase..... if really want to save petrol, monitor the RPM, make sure no aggressive spike, it should move up gently n solwly and dont let it go over 2KK RPM. might end up road hogging and make ur life miserable but save petrol lol

Re: Fuel Consumption
Tish, you want to decrease your FC? Change to 15inch 195 tires with lightweight rims, pump the tires harder abit, press less gas, drive with windows up and aircon off, throw away all unneccesary items from your car (including front and rear passenger seats). Confirm your 2liter can achieve 15km/l. But is it worth it?

So far for my 2.0L I'm getting around 9.0~9.9L/km.... maybe due to me a slow driver.. lolz... I hardly go pass 2000rpm

Re: Fuel Consumption
Just completed my 1st full tank since collection of my forte 1.6A SX. Meter show avg FC 7.7lts/100km or 12.98km/lts. Manual calculation is 518km / 40.7lts = 12.72km/lts. I think the meter quite accurate liao lah. Last pumped Esso 95. Today went to pump Caltex 92 and see the difference next top-up. Today mileage only 700km++ and i always try to maintain 2000rpm-2200rpm.....

Was curious hw come nobody mention about pumping of tyres?
Actually it is advised to pump tyres everytime u pump petrol. FC will defer by alot if ur tyres r nt pumped frequently.
For me it takes only 3 weeks to go under 200 for my tyres, after pumping them the FC improved alot. Btw i always over pump abit to 225.
