Seeking advice for 2nd Servicing!

Hi all.

It's time for my second servicing (6000km) and I have a few questions to ask so I hope you guys out there can help me.

1) Is C&C open on Sundays for servicing?

2) The servicing is only free labour and this time round they should be adding synthetic engine oil instead of mineral engine oil. So roughly how much do I have to be prepared to pay?

3) What's the duration of the servicing?

4) Any common problems you all face that I should take note of?

5) Any other tips or advice?

1) Is C&C open on Sundays for servicing?
Leng Kee, Pandan & Ubi not open on Sundays. Not sure of Thomson.

2nd Servicing is still using mineral oil. 3rd one will be synthetic oil. Prepare to pay $51.?cents for the 2nd servicing.

3) What's the duration of the servicing?
Changing engine oil is takes less than 2hrs but if shld u have any other problems to fix, it will take more than half day if its a major fault.

4) Any common problems you all face that I should take note of?
1. The cmi car wash plus the occasional oil stains.
2. Check side mirror when u collect if urs is an auto-retractable one.
3. Always inform them when u wish to collect or they'r snail speed.
4. They like to turn full blast air-con so remind them pls.

5) Any other tips or advice?
1. Write down on paper wat problem u wan em to rectify, double check afterwards.
2. Behind the invoice u received on the 1st servcing, there's a list of things they r supposed to do. Make sure they do it & tat's abt it.

sent in my forte this sat for 5k servicing, sent in 8am, called to collect by 10 15am.....pretty prompt service, did my engine oil level checking, everything was well done

Mus also rmb to makan their pau and milo

I was told by my se that at 5k servicing c&c still use mineral oil

this is true and correct...

Yes, 5k still using mineral as the next oil change is at 5k mileage....syn oil can last 10K....

First of all, thanks to all who helped me in this thread. I have one more question to add before I go for servicing tomorrow. I've checked, most likely they will change my engine oil to synthetic one. Any idea what brand of synthetic engine oil they will use? Can I buy my own and ask them to use? What brands do you all recommend?

they're using shell ultra helix syn oil.....
normally will not allow owner to bring own oil....but heard from other bros that if you bring the same oil as wat they're using....they will usually accept ....
