Engine Oil Level Empty Engine Oil Level

Post by xenocide 29th October 2009, 4:42 pm

Yesterday, i did a check on my engine oil. I got shock. It is 3cm above the F mark!!!
WTF?!?!? What can i do? Go back C&C and ask them drain for me?

I already told my SE while collecting car but he say its normal and will come down after u drive for sometime.
I've drove the car for a total of 400+km(OPC) already. Still so high?
Also checked the tyre pressure... at least i didn't get a heart attack.
They were all at 35PSI when cold. Is this consider high also?

Please advise...

Over-filling the oil is not good. 35 PSI is not too bad, although it may be a little higher than the recommended 32 PSI.

I am not sure how serious 3 cm above full is... but the article at carbibles can give you nightmares:

I just went to do some minor repair at C&C and ask them to drain off alittle. No additional cost.
