New features on new batch Forte

Understand that every batch of Ex or Sx Forte may have different in terms of specification and interior design..

anyone had gotten the new batch of SX Forte that was shipped on 11sept? any new add on or differences?

ask liao se say red threading, dunno what metallic at centre console.. say until i blur.. wonder anyone took pictures of the new enhancement of the new batch of sx. also new batch may be difference from the previous sx batch thats why asking lo.. thinking of upgrading to sx since ex shipment so slow.. but need to top up 6k.. -_-"

search in the forum.. i remember seeing someone posted b4..

I believe your EX shld have the same red threading stitches and metallic console and leather side door pad.. correct me if im wrong

upgrading to SX is actually enhancing some of better technology features.. but ask yourself do u need them? else just save the 6k for other beauty.

Everyone can give you opinion but final decision still lies on you.

The additional features is

17" rim
telescopic steering wheel
Electronics steering control
Chrome door handle
Bigger exhaust tip
Anti-glare rear mirror

so do you think above items worth the $6k?

if you are like us that bought the first few batches of SX.. then story might be different because the price differents is like 2-3K between SX and EX.

last time the EX got passenger air bag and rear disc brake so its almost perfect le.. and sx that time dun have leather seat..

so thats the additional airbag, rear disc brake and leather seat make up for the difference?

i look through the list, what i see worthy to upgrade to SX is

the rest of th features of sx is just good to have.. does my above listing worth the 6k? first time buy car so dunno bout the market rates if i wan to modify ex to the above listing =X

so now new EX only have 1 airbag?

- front passenger airbag << good to have but you wont want to use it!
- rear disc brake << good to have but very expensive maintainence fee
- electronic stability control << u wont feel you have it..
- leather seat << can be done less than $1k see forum ads threads
- 17inch alloy wheels << you definately will want to change rim after u collect your stock
- chrome tipped tail pipe << just 2.5" pipe but internal still less than 2" pipe means output still the same.. as EX.. so basically a looks on it only.

so last decision still on you.. definately its good to have SX but this high amount.. many bros here will just say.. use that $$ go upgrade to what u want..

anyway dont be confuse over my opinion.. go for what u really want =)

imho, i think 6k for sx are the additional features like automated climate control, motor driven pwr steer, chroming, rear parking assist, ESC, so many others but the rest are unnecessary for me... like 6cd changer, who uses cds now.. sometimes mp3 oso lazy to upload just turn the radio on listen news.
for 17 inch allow wheels very nice looking.. but then will the ride by a bit more bumpy and the car will have to drink more isn't it? correct me if i'm wrong...
but if u got more $, can go ahead with the sx or even, the forte koup.

ya now the ex ony got one airbag and leather seat i still have to top up cash.. only give me reverse sensor and car alarm.
i asked my se see got any freebies if i upgrade sx see worthy a not but haven reply me.. cos now got sx stock and can collect within 1 week.. if ex dunno still need to wait how long.. i bought on 10aug but written is to collect end oct till end nov.. so still very long wait.

why you say i will change rim? is it the fc is bad? change rim will void my warranty?

how much difference is to maintain the additional rear disk brake?

the current stock rim weigh 25KG per rim+tyre which is far too heavy!

It wont void your warranty.. warranty is on the auto parts which u tend to temper it.. not those stuff u can addon or change.

huh? 17inch wheel need to drink more petrol and will be bumpier? i tot wheel larger can go further cos circumfrance is lengthier.. so 17inch is just the look only ar?

i did tot of forte koup but have to wait even longer.. i dun mind if i have a car and waiting for it.. i will rather wait for ex than to wait for koup for the price different haa..

nope.. FC is definately poorer than 15" tire..

larger tire give u better handling and cornering but lousy FC..

I think ex is for those who may or may not be rich but are definitely feel really shiok when they buy somthing that is value for money. In stock market, they are referred as Value Investors...you like to get things that is value for money same as me?..You think a car is a car...and the car you owned not really represent who you really are, then stick to EX manual 15" steel rim, better still OPC if you don't really need to use car everyday (work 5-day week...Sat Sun off type) and your workplace very near home...Hee hee hee...

Ask for more! ask for gps+reverse camera and bodykit plus solar film NOTgps+reverse camera or bodykit plus solar film. Then your SE will say canot cannot, then you bargain. You said ok lah, at least gve me 1+1, choose yourselve, you want to give me gps+reverse camera plus solar film or body kit plus solar film? If you staright away ask gps+reverse camera or bodykit plus solar film. Then at most you only get one of the three. Ask carefully. happy asking

wahh.. the gps+reverse camera people need to top up 2k.. then last time the body kit promotion they say is 1.5k.. really can like that ask meh? very fierce leh..

No harm asking... i got only 2 things for my SX... rikecool and GPS + rev cam...

To be honest if the SE reached their monthly target sales, freebies are only given within the company approved budget, if the SE is desperate for target, they are willing to give more freebies even without earning much commission at their own expense.

they earn by commission eh... the more sales = more earning for that month.. target is just part of it.. but who dont want more $$ if they can close deal.

LOL yeah was think the same in the morning but decided to buy external 1 cos cheaper compare to build in 900 top up.Pre- order 1 at comex nuvi 255w for 349 but need UOB caedit card to have freebie for car plug,holder and carrier.

Personally, it's not worth the 6k.

Tele Steering wheel... How often do you adjust it?

17" rims? Y pay more to lower your FC? If you want more bling... trade in when you collect your ride. The stock rims are 11kg each.

6 disk changer... do you need it? Get an IPod / 8gb thumb drive... can get more songs in there.

Leather seats? It's more like PVC for God sake.

ESC? Well... how fast do you take your corners?

Chrome Handles? Some places sells them for 40-60 bucks!

Shadow effect dials... that one... well... I've got to admit... it's nice.

Env Control... do you really need it?

Actually, I kinda regret getting the SX.

Should have bought the EX instead.

oh i not quite sure about other model for my 2L SX i ask me my SE can i have GPS without rev cam she said $900.

for 6K.. really not too sure now.. its substantial... but for the past the different is like only 3~4k? so better option then.. omv does cover a little too i think ya?
Personally.. i think the ESC does help, but a bit weird when the thing react... (even then i am not too sure if its really in..haaa... but take 90 down sloop turn tight right at about 60-70...)..

end of the day.. i think is about what you want...
to me now.. Ex definitely worth the $$$ now...

ya for my ex its really at the lowest that i purchase.. that time ex drop 3k and sx drop 2k only.. so irritating.. see if my se can compensate me the vast 6k different with good freebies a not..
one important point i changing to sx is.. i wonder how long i have to wait for my ex to arrive.. maybe till end nov as stated in the paper.. that is a torturing 2months more of waiting and i had waited for 1 month plus le.. why are they so not efficient..

my se say can rebate for me $200 and give me car mart if i upgrade 6000 to SX..

so minus away my $700 leather seat that i top up for my ex i still need to top up $5100 and just give me car mat to place my feet..

think the se commission already full full liao cant be bothered to throw in more freebies.. asked me to consider till tomorrow..

i told my se say if i upgrade SX top up 6K and only got $200 rebate + car mat, people in forum will laugh at me.. then say other people buy SX got solar film, reverse camera, gps, csII, body kit etc..

went ubi kia today, was told my SE that the nov batch SX will have almost similar interior as to Koup except for the sunroof. New feature include keyless entry, keyless engine, new leather wrap for doors and new glossy center control panel. All this at the cost of 1k extra as to the current SX price.

dun take car mat if u going top up i bought the 2L sx ask for car mat only worth 50 doll. Outside got cheap and good mat too

Do note bros here. The nov batch with keyless entry will have something taken out from the car, which is motor driven steering wheel... (my SE told me)

The rikecool solar film is premium 25 de.. which i dont see such film in rikecool website -_-"

The correct word should be Premier, not premium.

Anyway, the solar film offered is Premier 28....you can asked the SE to show you the sample from the supplier. It is in a small cardboard with 4 boxes displaying the film, if I remembered correctly.

The confusion arose, I believe, is that all the front part of the car (ie the driver and passenger sides) and the windscreen will be cover with Premier 85 in all packages.

You can go to the website and take a look.... it is all stated there right below the package name denote by the asterisk.

hihi, kevin, i understand that for SX it is currently a motor driven power steering(MDPS) wheel. what about the EX? also MDPS?
