Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Just curious, when ZMC claimed the shock sensor can be adjusted, it's only during the installation or User can actually adjust it just like the SX dash display brightness adjustable knob on the side?
I used to have a 2 way alrms and to adjust the sensitivity of the shock sensor, I need to remove the sensor under the dashboard and access the control unit, pretty troublesome...

They mount the sensor at the bottom left side which you can easily access and adjust the setting to your prefer without taking anything apart

Called Kenneth of zmc several times, keep saying there is not stock for this model yet. He also said that it is not advisable to install the microwave sensor (+$30 more).

Can't really remember the reason given by Kenneth said, something about the wiring. Best you confirm with him directly HP:93866418. Sorry

Motion "around" the car.
So if yours is a 2 way remote...
If a cat walks past.......

Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
I didn't read that (free gift with GB). Though the price is the same as their website @ $128. The reason why I choose this model is that we can retain the KIA car lock control (I didn't like the design of the other controls that I saw)
Kenneth also told me that we can install at Geylang (day-time & weekdays only) OR IMM (night-time, weekdays & Weekends)
Installation takes about 1+ hr

Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Hi ctoh,
I have similar opinion as you. Don't want to render my KIA car lock control useless.
Anyway, did you add anything extra when you install LFQ-018C ?
Any comment regarding this model ?

Oh... I haven't install it yet... waiting for stock.
Last week Kenneth told me the stock will be in on Thu, can install in the weekend. Called him on Sun, said stock will be in on Mon or Tue. He said will call me to arrange for installation.
Anyone installed it already? Any comments? I want to know too!

bro. microwave is a addon device, detect movement around the car without touching the car.
I heard from some car shop in mysia its bad for health. Maybe LFQ-018C cannot install microwave into the device..... Keigo got his alarm with microwave but its a different ZMC alarm.

Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Do we need to pay extra for the boot remote open function that comes with SX?
nothing- Senior Member
Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Kenneth said no need to pay extra as our SX already has boot release (I like this feature best) on the control

Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Ok guys, FYI I have installed LFQ-018C with free microwave sensor. Both shock sensor and microwave sensor can be adjusted and for microwave sensor I adjust just to detect movement inside the car. Anyway those interested to install courtesy light can do it there.

Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Heard from Kenneth the microwave sensor will only be activated when we locked our car. By then, all ppl shd be out from the car liao unless self lock inside the car and start "rocks" the car....hahaha
The microwave sensor technology also used in the power saving motion sensor in some public/building toilets....shd be quite safe lah....

Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
Hello Guys , dont worry microwave sensor is safe . reason why i always double check if users want microwave sensor on their one way alarm is because ................
2 way alarms - User can choose to on or off motion sensors through their remote.
1 way alarms - User CANNOT choose to on or off motion sensors through their remote .
Motion sensors are very very sensitive , therefore , some people using 1 way alarms can only adjust sensitivity through the device itself and not the remote . So some may think its troublesome , or irritating , but however , if you are very intro gadgets and will love to play with adjusting the sensors . We will gladly install for you under the GB promo ! hahaha cheers bro if you guys need anything call me .
LFQ018C is ready and installation can start tomorrow onwards ! cheer s!

bro as mentioned in other thread. Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
zmc, microwave sensor could potentially be a undesirable feature.
1. In the event, then a user want to disable it, can it be switched off from the device (rather than remote) or need to remove the cable ?
2. When the alarm is being installed, any hole needs to be drilled ?
Still hoping someone can post some pics on the placement of the alarm module, horn, LED etc.
Thanks.

LFQ018C was chossen by myself because i didn't want to carry additional remote. I prefer the original remote with boot open function. I was looking at alarm "upgrade" with shock sensing and siren function initially. I only need 1-way alarm system and this is within my budget. Cheers.

same for me, i dislike the remote provided, i prefer KIA's remove. a basic shock sensor is enuff to scare off some noobs, but if there is a pro, maybe only electricity n flame thrower alarm will be useful lolck7373 wrote:koayst wrote:tish ... please take some pics and post it here after the installations .. thanks. Re: SPY Alarm LFQ-018C
I know nothing about alarm. So pardon me for asking lots of questions.
Hopefully, zmc is reading this thread too.
When LFQ-018C alarm is armed and assuming someone is trying to break into the car, the alarm goes off and nobody cares and owner of the car is nowhere near ...
So what can LFQ-018C prevent or stop ?
