Polishing (Autoglym)
Never really like their products in the past but now... I'm quite impressed with what it can do...
Been using the body wash and super resin polish 1 or 2 time now...
This is the first time am using the extra gloss.
Here's what I have in my car...
Pail and hose... a great to have...
Protectant for the interiors...
All "neatly" in 1 pail and in the trunk.

Polish Results
Sorry... the rest of the picts does not show much except these...
The Extra Gloss was damn hard...
I mean, it's hard when it's dry...
*Coz I applied too much / too thick...
But @ least my car has a thick layer of sealant.
But looking @ the result here... I'm quite happy.
Here's what I did.
2 capful of Body Wash was all that was needed to wash the whole car.
1 layer of super resin polish.
1 layer of extra gloss.
total... took about 2 hrs.
Hope this will last @ least 2 months.
The feel of it is alittle like CSII.
:)

Rims review
Went to in Law's place with my family who lives in Jurong, I live in Hougang.
Distance to and fro is about 50km.
Pertol was @ 3/4...
FC indicator was @ 11L/km. When I went there.
Left home @ abt 5pm, went home @ 10pm. (To better understand the traffic condition).
Reached home, the FC showed 10L/100km...
Looking good.
Let's see how things are tomorrow.
the lighter rims really improves on the FC quite a fair bit...

Wah....bro joepele, when you took the pix ? How come i wasnt aware.
By the way i took a peek at your new rims. The gap between the tyres and the body seems bigger ? Or is it just my eyes.
Anyway, i did CS-II about 1 month ago. Currently only use a pail of plain water and microfibre cloth. Just wet the cloth and wipe away dust and dirt all over. Took about 20mins. Havent use the shampoo and protectant given by CS-II yet cos lazy.

I guess thats one of the reason for the "weight" loss.

SPY's OEM Alarm Review
Personal review of the 018 Alarm.
- Initially had some hick ups
*the folks @ ZMC told me there was stock... so made a trip to Jurong from Houguang just to find out that they did not have any stock.
- Went to Soon Lee to install...
Am very happy with the installer.
and was quite happy with the product till I found out that the Silent Arming function also Silents the Siren when the car is knocked.
More details here.
Good or No Good product?? Well, no comment.

I noted that for the Silent Section, the Knocking part still does not have the Siren... ???
My
understanding of Silent Arm as mentioned in an earlier posting is =
Arming Silent only, but Knocks or Intrusion will sound the Siren.
Isn't this "standard" ?
No
bro , the standard is SILENT - knock has NO SIREN , intruding has SIREN
. This also applys to our 1 way alarm , 2 way alarm ad gsm alarm and
every single model, and based on our experience and expertise it is the
right way the alarm should work , because the reason why users use
silent arm is because they dont want any slight knocks to be waking up
the neighbourhood therefore silent arm has served a purpose for them to
off the silent during warning stage and only alert them when
neccessary. Most of the time when people park in multistorey and alarm
are not much of an issue , they will on the normal mode.
You might want to consider a one way alarm instead that you can toggle between both modes.
cheers
Dun understand this....
"You might want to consider a one way alarm instead that you can toggle between both modes."
Isn't mine a one way alarm?
Hello bro , one way LC211A when we replace your remotes , you can toggle between 2 modes.
???
I don't understand how that would resolve this problem.
It just simply makes the toggling of the Silent and Non Silent via the remote which I
1. Need to pay more
2. Change another remote, (I've bought the flip key shell for my current remote)
3. Go down to installer to spend a couple of hrs for installation
sigh............
Hello bro joepele
I
really do not understand why you are saying that its a problem , when
its not a problem . Every alarm has it own characteristics and there is
no one alarm or function that can please everyone . ZMC has always
provided competitive prices and good services for end users over the
past years and every customer has been really pleased about the
functions available vs the price .
We can offer you a few options:
1) We will change the alarm system for you to LC211a, but you have to bear installation charges .
2)
Upgrade to a programmable 2 way alarm which will give you all kinds of
functions that you choose to have or dont have like on/off siren or
shock sensor, fully at your control . Top up the difference . retails
at $568
3) Refund less installation price .
Please feel free to call me if you need any help making the decision .
ZMC works towards 100% customer satisfaction .
Kenneth
93866418 .
With your 3 options, I don't really see much of an option available.
$568??
wow....
Thanx.
------------
Felt even worse when this is only applicable to 018 only but not the 2 way alarm.

hello
bro... i also interested in this spy alarm 018C. however i agree with
joepelle bro.. i think for silent arm, is just that silently arm the
car wo the tu tu sound..which i like.
it might not be in the case of
dont want to disturb ppl, but is like a preference, that u arm the car
silently.. some ppl like that feel.. arming the car without the tu tu
sound.
BUT then if anyone knock or intrude or wat.. the siren shd go
off, not only go off for intrude cases. and i dun think i want to arm
the car in a non silent way just to make sure the siren goes off for
intrude or knocking. if is confirm that all your SPY alarms work this
way, i think i might need to reconsider my decision. Thank you for ur
clarifications.
Please note that for 2 way alarms , GSM alarms , 2 times CONTINUOUS knock is equivalent to intrude.(an indication of tamper to vehicle) --> Alarms sounds off.
Please feel free to make any clarifications with us directly , as only we have the answers to your questions .
Thanks and we hope you find your answer with us .
cheers
Wait, so 2 times CONTINUOUS knock= intrude is not applicable to the 018?
---------------
So my review of this??
You be the judge. The facts are there.
But IMHO, Value for money? Prob if you need a basic function alarm.
But if you need more from the alarm system??

or change the white to red LED lor?

The 2 top parts... (All the way inside) does not fit very well.

But as compared to the 20-30 buck tray.... it's a little more ex... but this one "sits" mostly pretty well other than the inside... Would be good if it was priced @ 30-40 bucks though.

This is not my image la... it was the seller's pict.
I did not notice the "gap" until I got my tray.
Well... he DID post a pict of the tray installed.... so technically, he did "let me know" that there was a gap... It was me being careless to miss it out.
But honestly... it's ok since all the way to the end... I usually keep the bulkier & dry items.
