Re: EX got no Engine Temp. sensor????
Bro Tish, TS refering to Engine Temp not A/C Temp. For SX yes, there is a temp bar on the LCD panel, for EX not sure..

Re: EX got no Engine Temp. sensor????
topic discussed b4.
http://www.ceratoforte.forumotion.com/general-discussion-for-forte-owners-f2/engine-temperature-monitoring-t233.htm
My SE claims that sensor will light up when engine overheats, meaning no light is good news. I dun think anyone will be able to confirm this until engine really got problem. touch wood...

If driving halfway, u see a red thiggy appear on yr screen meaning engine overheat, quickly pull one side same like avante, I believed no temp.sensor too...if u want, can install a aftermarket temp. sensor....

Re: EX got no Engine Temp. sensor????
Hmm..i think as long as you got conduct regular checks on your engine coolant reservoir..ensure that it is within the Full-Empty level. should be ok..

Important is to switch off engine 1st. But do it safely k... The purpose is to prevent blown head gasket... Those who had driven Honda will know what I'm talking about...

I think there are a few more factors to look at...
1) No air pockets in the cooling system.
2) Radiator fan working?
I still don't understand why car manufacturers can't put an alarm for high temp...

Hi Divine, remember the topic we discussed during 2nd meet up, my personal eperience with engine temperature at constant high while I continue driving and didn't caused any harm to my engine, this happened when I was on the way to Malacca 11 years ago, still using this engine oil additive till today, it reduce vibration and I have constant FC from day 1 til now, my current ride coming to 5 years.

A light will indicate if ur engine overheats. It makes no difference tbh even if you do have a monitor like those of the SX. If engine overheats, the same indicator for both SX and EX will light up. Either way, stop ur vehicle asap and call for assistance.

don't open the bonnet straight away, if do pls be very careful bcos of the hot high pressure steam or water...let it cool off first before opening it and check...always good to have a 1.5L bottle of water in the boot....
