Reverse Sensor Problem
Collected by koup from Leng Kee yesterday, after a two-day repair on the speaker mood-light, windscreen wiper and auto-door lock problem. Last week sent koup to LK to do adjustment on the door-window problem. Now just this morning, there's a problem on the reverse sensor. There's a continous sound the moment i put gear to reverse. Sian. Only got my new ride two weeks ago and it's like a weekly affair visiting LK. Called their servicing just now and was told everyone is busy and someone will return my call later. Has anyone encountered problems with their reverse sensor?

Re: Reverse Sensor Problem
the next time you encounter this problem.....try returning gear back to neutral before shifting it to reverse again......it worked on me

Thanks, Muff. But I tried that earlier too, but it didn't work. Tried shifting to drive, park, neutral and back to reverse. Sound comes the moment gear shifted to reverse.

Re: Reverse Sensor Problem

Tried before, sometimes works, other times doesnt.
Its really dangerous as to sometimes i am assuming that there is nothing behind (although the sensor is beeping continuously) and continue to reverse...........but what if a little child suddenly goes behind.........

I have been wiping my car exterior with plain water for the past few months.
And i also spend a little bit more time cleaning the sensors.
In fact, i informed CNC during my 10k servicing and they just told me that they have reconnected the sensors and tested it to be working. Sigh.

simple job done. Surely the sensors are ok.
If the connector is disconnect, there won't be any sensing at all.
Maybe the beeper or the sensor chip board that is faulty.
Btw, when you collect your ride?

I think technology sometimes FAIL us.... so we cannot rely too much on the reverse sensor.... we need to use our manual judgement too.

What did you depend ? Especially reversing into a straight wall without the kerb to stop ?

My reverse sensor is now back to normal. Washed my car this morning and remembered to clean the sensor area, as per advised by "Kapitan". Then later in the afternoon drove off and when reversing realized there was no 'long beep' sound when gear at reverse. Now I will need to cancel my Tuesday appointment at LK. Thank you "Kapitan".

Maybe i was just lucky it worked. Actually I was just doing normal washing/cleaning of my koup this morning. Then it rained and I couldn't even wipe dry the car.
