5K Servicing

Hi,

Just want to check with the experienced bros and sis here would it be ok if I go for 5k servicing after exceeding say about 500k?

i.e. suppose to go for servicing at 5k but currently running at 5500km, and I foresee that I will be doing quite a fair bit of traveling in bolehland during CNY, Likely to return with 6500km. Would this still be ok with our precious?

I would suggest that you go for yr 5k servicing just before driving to M'sia. 5.5k is no problem for the 5k servicing.

Thanks I think I should be clearer, I went for my 1k and should be doing the 5k soon. So it is 1k + 45k, still a bit early I thought. Can share the rationale behind your recommendation?

I have a question too. I went for my 1K servicing just recently and they told me to go back at 6000km. Why so? Should i go back at 5K or 6K?

1K + 5K = 6K ,, so go back when ur odo say 6K,,,,

bull**** man.. 5k means you are to service when your odo reads 5k.. you can be more than that but to ask u to go back at 6k is really BS..

1k service = 1k (1k service)
come back after 5k = 6k (5k service) - i did 5k service at odo = 5600
come back after 5k = 11k (10k service) - i coming back at odo = 10600 or march 2010, my sticker says so....

btw, if u wan to come at exactly 5k and 10k, no issue oso.... just that u will be parting with ur moolah a few weeks earlier than necesarry.

+/-500km for the designated servicing is ok. No worries and no need to be so precise lar.
