Wat Fuel used?

Hey forte owners, I knoe tat most SE and even the manual states 92 fuel. but just wanna know wat petrol and from which Kiosk (eg. Shell, Caltex, Esso/Mobil or SPC) you guys are actually using... Very Happy

Shell having Promotion on V power this few days tried on a Toyota Wish we are driving before collecting my Forte on Tuesday. Not bad... Not becoz I like to Chiong or wat but the pick up from traffic light is pretty good... Any advise?

Station 5% + OCBC credit card 5% discount.

I'm using Shell Formula 98.. my SE told me tt 92 is sufficient.. i oso not sure which fuel grade to use.. scratch

I will travel in out JB often.. So i guess in singapore, I will pump shell 98 but when in JB V-power... Tell you guys, if you want pump petrol in jb. try go out during night time.. You will see many singapore cars queuing up the nearest shell station. Most of the night time singapore custom dun check often liao. they macham close one eye..

Hmmm... Looks like Shell is a better kiosk to go to... My house is near to SPC any comment on SPC fuel?

My friend use to pump SPC 92 but have since switched to Caltex 92 as it really does give better mileage.

Actually shell or caltex is my choice... Shell seem to be overrated and their price now raised a bit liao.

If u use 98, actually the milleage will last longer also because of the lesser impurities, right bo ?

Anyway SAF regulars got 12% mobil with speed pass and 14% caltex with $2 admin fee per mth

I have bad experience with SPC pump 95 with my forte. My 1st tank I managed to cloak 520km using shell 95. My second pump "SPC 95"~~vomit blood~~460km. Mileage poor nvm performance is horrendous. Pick up no power, up slope like one 99 year old tortise. Blame myself for being stubborn, my SE/frenz say forget about SPC their fuel grade is very lousy not good for the car in a long run. My advised is refrain fr using SPC petrol unless u r driving in the desert runnning on reserve tank and theres no other pump station except SPC den bo bian pump SPC. Cheap in price and quality.

think SPC suits older cars much better...my previous 1991 starlet (16V EFI) actually gave better FC with SPC than other petrol brands! kekeke

I pump shell 98 for both local n JB but most of the time at jb coz price sooooo cheap. 1L of shell 98 i pay less than a dollar Sing.

I hate JB's esso, the carbon produced had a VERY weird stinko smell, i support local caltex and Mysia Caltex and petronas. Only the new shell in tuas GP i support coz the underground tank is very new. else i usually pump petronas....

I pump shell coz its convinience, nearest n many s'poreans pump der. For petronas, i got good feedback from some of my friends that their petrol is actually no bad.

Ya... nearest petronas station is just outside the msia checkpoint.. You need to drive further down... 1st petrol station is shell... then follow by petronas.

yeah tish. my company got the tie up with caltex too. email/brochure states up to 18% discount. my ass!
but still huge savings lah!

Warning... to all bros and sistos who pump petrol on e way back to Spore via 2nd link. Read in one of the car forum and this is wat he encounter:

Pumped at Gelang patah coming back to Spore direction.

On Wed night, Pumped abt 35litres of Ron97 at the BIGGER kiosk. Headed
straight hm too tired & drove slowly, nvr realise any difference.

The following days whenever i tried to rev hard the engine B16++ will Bink(knock) , its worses esp in the hot afternoon!

Yesterday took half day went to my workshop drove in, my mech high
rev & hold to see the A/F meter. After which the whole workshop has
a faint smell of KEROSENE aka Tor-yiu!!!!

My engine has never Bink(knock) that badly even on SPC Ron 92.

So Bros be warn!

11pm no problem for me, usually i go in around that time. Pump, lim kopi / sometimes makan then try to clear meter, then go back.

Usually my bike kakis ecounter road block, if there is a chance, they just zoom past. But sometimes if no chance to zoom past, have to stop and try to talk our way out like passing some cash also.

1. Dun take out ur wallet with all ur BIG note $/RM infront of dem or their eyes turn big affraid

2. Onli take out e 10, 5 or 2 note and say diz onli u got.

Just ask him to give u the summon, either he sianz zi pua or he give u the ticket, but since its about few hundred ringget, u ask a mysia mechanic to pay for u, they can get discount. Discourage the TPs.

But usually we got no time to do these, we just give them what they want Sad

good idea!! but will they sabo u and give u a real ticket at the end of the day? my dad kenna once.. he din bargain some more.. and ended up got a summon... some more send to our address.. lagi kao lat..
