the GPS in the blue Forte (Leng Kee) not user friendly, not sure is it I don't know how to use. Presently using Garmin GPS. Kia GPS can update maps ? How often ? Is it free ?

ok i rejected the GPS for $500. apparently.. must pay fee to update.. and the brand is orion.. heard that its nt a user friendly gps.. and doesnt increase ur car value and cannot take out next time when change car.. so mite as well get one outside which i think mite even be better..

so since he can fork out $500 to "subsidise" me, i asked him to give me 3M mats.. den he begin to not happy liao.. say i angry with him coz of weekend's promotion.. haha

The package here is for your references, so some SE may not able to fullfill. With trade in old car....you got better bargaining power.

My suggestion is go to C&C and look for those Senior SE....They have more authority to give higher discount or more FOC gift. Think wat you want b4 go down and dun bother what all brother posted here.

just a some thoughts about packages. For those who are buying new car, just remember these;

1. New models like the upcoming Kia Cee'd / Soul, are very very new to the market, especially in Asia. So very often, Car makers and their respective dealers will gather feedbacks from drivers themselves, in order to further improve their product (the cars). For the Forte, it is still considered very new in the market, below 1 year. So there are plenty of bugs, glitches and quality issues which the car maker will resolve and improve on as they build new batches. So to speak, the later you wait, the more enhancements you will see. Sometimes, just minors ones. Theory is just like a mobile phone, eg. iPhone. From iPhone 2G to now iPhone 3GS.

2. Buying power / Right SE vs Packages (and freebies)
These few things also plays a crucial part in purchasing your new car. A business minded SE will provide you with quality service and freebies which are not too demanding (such that they make a lost in profit).
Case 1: if you are a little short handed now, why not just take up the SX or EX built which offers you the standard equipments, first. Then, you can always do MODS or Add-ons to your car at a later time. No budget for big rims, make do with factory rims first. Of course, if we talk about AUTO climatic and other FACTORY built features, then you will have to consider before purchase. Do you really need Sunroof? Do you need 2.0L engine? so on and so forth.

Case 2. You buy the 1.6SX for example, freebies already thrown in such as Leather, 3M mats, Rike Cool Film. < With these goodies already in, don't be so 'anal' to go and ask for body kits, or spoiler or other expensive add-ons. Because, it is impossible that the SE will throw in. Think about it this way, you sell the car, making only that little profit, yet Me the buyer ask this and that, causing you to make no profit. you wont be happy either. So save the trouble. Ask within possible means.

I must say, CNC / Kia is already kind enough to take the leap in fitting their car, from factory, goodies on board. Thinks like factory audio, that sounds so good, 17" rims (SX) that comes FOC, AUTO CLIMATIC Control that cools your car.. some other higher makes do not even have. They split their models into variants... Basic Entry, Luxury, Sports... so you want more, your pay more kind of thing, which in the Forte you don't need to worry about.

so when you buy a car, think within your budget, ask within possible means. you win, the se also win.
