Rear Spolier Kena Stolen

Ytd went to my car realised my rear spolier was missing cos i saw a few strips of double sided tape and 2 deep scratched marks at each sides which eats into my paint... heartpain and went to make a police report... which bast*** will do this kind of thing.. Called my SE n he said BK is nt insured n i cannot claimed anything.. sigh... i was wondering if my paintwork is affected can i claim?

cant help it... almost ducktail spoiler n e bk spoiler by C&C is fasten by 3M tape or glue therefore its easier for ppl to steal...

but diz basturd is really cheapo or muz be desperate to make money...

I had my eyelids for my current car stolen before also....

Thats why when renew insurance pay abit extra to insure bk, rims, etc.... items that you add yourself.

where is your home mscp, i assume stolen from your home carpark right.... remind myself to avoid that carpark...

Dun claim insurance. Not worth it. Once you claim insurance, your NCD will be affected, resulting to higher motor insurance premiums in your next renewal.

insurance claims.... be careful... insurance companies are not exactly ur frens....especially ***!!!!!

How much is your insurance excess?
Spolier replacement + boot lid respray will cost may cost only slighly higher than your excess.. Not worth it imo.

hmmm ..... Doesnt the BK come with warranty ? Unless the warranty does not cover theft ??

try use some polish.. see if it can helps u.. reduce the dmg

omg, sorry to hear that.. i think i'm not going to install any bk parts liao.. perhaps one solution is to put on another spolier to cover up? can conceal the damage parts..but it may attracts the bast*** to strike again..

one cheaper suggestion is: cover the entire boot with Carbon Fiber or matt black sticker

perhaps Siaoster can help to come up with an unique sticker design to blend nicely to to cover the marks

Im keeping watch at my carpark..

maybe you just ask someone to take a photo inside your car and have the camera shooting you walking away from your car (back view)...

then photoshop it and make it blur and masking the face out then in the ppaper claiming we got CCTV and catch you in the act of stealing the spoiler, return it and put it at the car or if not we will report to police....

maybe this will frighten the thief and he might put it back..

possible too, my carpark got a scratched thief also... sigh.. hinting me to change house... lolx...

Try to spray WD40 or use zippo to the sticky tapes to remove them

Medicated oil should works wonder on sticky tapes.

such a thing oso can happen sux ,,, MCSP is prone to theft... this fellow mus have use some tools to "pull" the spoiler... might dmg and scrach some of the paintwk
