actually i'm wondering y the dome light trigger wire only have 12v when door close, so how does the dome light get power when the door is open???

Re: Questions for our Fortes'
You are assuming that the door has to be closed to flip a switch is it? But what exactly is positively grounded? Typically ground in a circuit always refers to the negative terminal.
It has been known that a car uses its car body to transmit electricity back to the car's battery, so it will make sense to only provide a single 12V wire, but there must be a switch on the door that controls a switch that connects the 12V only when door open.

Re: Questions for our Fortes'
I'm guessing no need to locate door switch, my guess is that the positive lead found in the dome light already comes from the door switch? But it is just a guess.

If I not wrong, if you are tapping from the flip switch of the door it should be-.

when i see people connect stuff, the negative always go to the car body. jump start car also, the negative just clip to car body.
