Forte's price effective 26 Oct 09

Forte 1.6SX (A) went up to $58,999 . Scary... If I'm not mistaken, is it the highest to date? I booked mine end Aug with RRP $53,999 COE was at $15,019 but got mine at $18,020... with a 5k increase, I believe CnC is expecting the COE to shoot to $20k mark...

hear SE saying COE will not drop below 15K till next year june... anyway nobody know..

is the COE higher the better? As i believe COE will drop again but will stay above 15k. and increase again.... Coz right now, gov mention not enough ppl taking public transport and more ppl are driving. I bet they will increase ERP, COE and make ppl take public transport.

I don't think with ERP increase will result in lesser people buying cars. If people are really sensitive to such things, people driving would have decrease a long time ago with the implementation of all the gantry.

Besides, Singaporeans now should be quite rich since a lot of them should have made a killing on the stock market.

A higher COE, OMV also allows you to have a higher paper value for your car. I don't think there's much to it. Higher paper value also means higher depreciation.

those that can buy car , will buy car.... only this time, they will go for the "cheaper" models..... .....

last time when coe go to 40K(???), rich ppl who can buy exp cars ... still buy expensive cars.... it was the not so rich that got affected... have to settle for "standard" car and let go of the "luxury" dream....
and yes... lta wins.... how can they lose.... they hold all the cards.

i guess the price should include push button? immo? keyless entry?

my ex SE called me last Sunday to inform me of the special offer price of 65K for the entry 1.6 Mz3.....make me itchy...

Buy cheap next time can change new car if got problem. Buy exp need to live with the problem forever.....

i remember it was just 43-45k for EX Auto when just launched in Feb?...
and comes with 4 disc brake...etc..

Price will likely keep moving up in the region since COE has almost triple since then..

On the new servicing package, no point lah.. Toyota use to have the extended warranty thing but I never took it either.

Glad I bought early, at launch. Got mine at $47,888 with COE of $4980...

it's ok. we can always for the COE to fall. let's maintain our optimism.
