Re: IS RIKECOOL's film effective?
it depends on what grade of solar film.
but if u park ur car outside at noon for long, no matter what film, ur car will get hot inside.

Mine is an OPC, same color.
Best way...
Put visor, then leave the window slightly open.
As much as possible, park where there is most shade.

try to understand the logic of infra red and light relationship. light passed through the window and objects in your car eg. the dashboard will give out infra red because of the light. the infra rejection only reject infra red outside the car but not inside the car. green house effect actually.
the film does has its uses as it reduces the visible light. take note for those bro who installed 25% VTL for the rear. you will notice that your rear passenger side is cooler than your front side. it will also reduce ultra-voilet rays into the car. these are the rays that give you that sun-tan look. imagine your dashboard(especially the newer model with a lot of leather one) having a suntan all the day. it will dry up and crack or discoloured easily. ultra-viloet rays are also resonible for skin cancer also.
in sunny singapore i think can put lah.
in my own case i put already but still hot when get into car so therefore the solution:
1)get window visor
2)lower down window to the point of visor( for me, the main purpose of getting visor is so that i can lower the window a bit without pple can jaming wires into your car.)
3)get those shining thing (reflect light) and clip in your wind screen.

you don't want roaches to climb in and build their nests in your car...

Re: IS RIKECOOL's film effective?
Now I going to start my Thermal dynamics lecture liao.. No matter what film u put, be it the best branded film u can find in the aftermarket...
Your CAR will still get HOT if park under the SUN... Reasons due to
1) Heat transfer through a medium
2) Radiation
There's no way you can prevent heat building up inside a car should u have put it under the sun.. The air molecules inside your CAR will also get heated up and thus making your car hot..
So the only reason why we put film is DURING driving.. To reduce UV ray as much as possible during long driving..
So best method to reduce heat before you got onto the car?
1) Open your doors wide wide..
2) Have those kind of aftermarket REMOTE start function.. Pre-start your car first before you get in at least u will find it to be bit cooler.
3) Park under shade or trees (if under trees, make sure it not the bird home ground or else will kena bombard like hell)
Of cos there are many many methods which I can't possible list out all... Cheers.
So to answer your question, Rikecool effective... To me, i would say yes.. as I did feel the difference.. I got one door window panel replaced recently and not yet put the film.. So i can feel the difference when i park the sun.. The one penetrate the filmless panel is much painful (UV ray will hurt ur skins) as compared with film.

Re: IS RIKECOOL's film effective?
bro kapitan, i think u input that we should let the suspension to run for awhile b4 we install the strut bar. juz in case the CnC guys say its the the strut bar installed which is causing the prob. maybe i remember salah who actually gave this advice...paiseh.

Re: IS RIKECOOL's film effective?
i think u r referring to me....
however, even if u install it after 10k, nothing will stop cnc
from blaming it if something goes wrong with ur engine...
anyway as some bros advised here, if u install, and u r going to cnc, remove it b4 u go.... i know it may be troublesome.... so ur call....
btw, i did not install either....

C&C given one should be premier 28. It show it cost $1050 in sale agreement paperwork. But i believed c&c can get the cheaper price at $600+ from Rikecool.

Re: IS RIKECOOL's film effective?
Actually i just realised my SE did not even put wat grade of solar film. Just put solar film as part of the package and told me it's rike cool.

I believe the majority of the SEs all get mixed up in the way the solar film is applied to the car, regardless of which package you get or you top up extra for.

The strut bar is not necessary and you may want to spend the 80 some where else. The ride will become harder. My personal opinion.
