paint marks removal Empty paint marks removal

Post by TVaddict 17th October 2009, 7:10 pm

it was a suay day for me yesterday. i was turning right with a truck when the truck driver 'eat' into my lane and brushed my rear right passenger door with his blue paint. almost a quarter of my door was covered with blue streaks from the truck. luckily there was no visible dents on my door. just some slight scratches.

it was double right-turn lanes. i was on the left and he was on the right. after the turn he cut into my lane and brushed my car. and to add insult to injury, he had the audacity to horn at me then sped away paint marks removal 316913 while i stopped at the road side to note down his truck number.

anyway i managed to remove most of the blue paint from my door using my good old trusty car wax but there are some rather thick paint which i failed to remove. luckily i remember reading some bros mentioning about zippo lighter fluid being a good paint and adhesive remover. so i went to buy it from a nearby 1.99 shop just now and proceed to try it.

true enough, the zippo did the job paint marks removal 332362 .. now i'm planning to go down to c&c next week to buy some touch up paint to touch up some minor parts which were scrapped off by the truck yesterday.

any bro knows the price of the touch up paint from c&c and a cheap way to remove minor scratches? paint marks removal Icon_smile

Since you have the truck registration, you should go to the police and report a hit and run and claim against the truck driver....

The police report is just for record...... with that report, then go to insurance and claim... who cares if they will get the culprit... it is the report that one should be having.... and don't get me started with uniform service....

CnC LK and Pandan selling for 8 bucks before GST.. Call them up to check on stock availability before going down... Mine got scratched at the butt 2 weeks after getting the car... Sigh... luckily the cost to repaint the whole bumper was borned by the other party, privately settled...
