Re: 'Swirl' marks.
Only comfort of a white car, swirl marks hard to see. No matter how you maintain swirl will be there. I think some polishing can clear those but not totally if the condition is really bad.

Lol, under the orange light i think any car swirl also can see.
But one thing i think most people dun bother is to dust your car before you wash (if you wash your car yourself) Just use feather duster to dust it to rid your car of finer particles before you use a cloth. Cannot avoid but minimise.

Ladies and Gentlemen, swirl marks are just part and parcel of the life of a car. Most surface as long as it is glossy, sure will have swirl marks unless yours is coated with some scratch proof kind of coating. Haha.

Just have to accept it my friend. Think even silver cars will have the swirls if I remember correctly. :-)

Matt finish legal meh? My friend say it is because not much light reflect on the car surface results in reduce visibility for other road users. True ah?

Re: 'Swirl' marks.
I think be wary about the washing cloth. Sometimes is the material of the washing cloth that increase the number of swirl mark.

Re: 'Swirl' marks.
Hi bros,
I would like to share some information about swirl marks. Swirl marks (also known as polishing marks) are usually caused by poor handling of the polishing machine such as using too much pressure, using it at a high speed, using the wrong type of rubbing compound and the polishing pad. You will need to have lots of experience to handle the polishing machine so that you will not create any unnecessary swirl marks. Under strong or direct sunlight, you can see that it has a wavy pattern. Creating swirl marks are easy but removing them requires a lot of time and tools.
Most people think that after several car washes, you will create swirl marks. To us, we do not call them swirl marks, we call them cobwebs (also known as hairline scratches). Cobwebs can found all over your car paint surface, you only see them in circular form because the hairline scratches are usually only radiated around strong light and pictures with the cobwebs usually use round lights. Cobwebs are normal and are caused by washing of the car. They can be rectified easily compared to swirl marks. So far, there are no waxes or sealant in the market which can prevent cobwebs.
This is a picture of swirl marks and cobwebs (the swirl marks are the wavy ones and the cobwebs are the circular ones):
In summary, swirl marks and cobwebs are different things. Swirl marks are usually caused by polishing machines and are harder to remove. Cobwebs are usually caused by car washes and are easy to remove but will return after a while. Swirl marks are also deeper than cobwebs.
Hope this information helps.
Cheers:)
