1 Lesson that I've learn during the process of buying this car...

Get it in Black and White...
Even if it's scribbled in a rough piece of paper.

Get the SE to write it down.

What needs to be written down.

If you have been in this forum long enough... you'd noticed that different batches comes with different items... So far, most of the time they add items... but you'll never know when it's gonna be removed.

So get it down it writing... no need to have it in a contract...
Juz the SE's writing on a piece of paper will do.

e.g.
Auto Fold Mirror,
Alarm,
Central Locking,
BT handsfree
Windows tinting
17" rims,
etc etc...

Expected delivery date.

Color etc

I shall not emphasis what happened to me but... to safe guard yourself...

Anyway, for the rest of the bros...

Any other advise?

Anyway... have this feeling that some of the folks here may ask for freebies...

Here's some suggestion... may need to top up
Alarm - SX does not, I repeat does not come with alarm, only central locking...
*Dun let those unscrupulous SEs con you into thinking otherwise.

Leather Seats

Window tinting

Mats

Body Kits

In built GPS

It does, wat joepele may be suggesting is that these items MAY be removed in future batches. So is better to get everything written down.

SX comes with leather seats and autofold mirror. My SE wrote it down in the order form without me asking. It should be the way.

Those were the things that vary...

Previously the company advertise the BK as 1k...

Now, 1.5k........

Inflation of 500 bucks over night.

Even worse still, if dun want the BK, the price still the same... they take back @ 500 bucks.

What BS.

Anyway...

For those who is comparing the EX vs the SX...

Here's a brief summary of my thoughts.

Tele Steering wheel... How often do you adjust it?

17" rims? Y
pay more to lower your FC? If you want more bling... trade in when you
collect your ride. The stock rims are 11kg each.

6 disk changer... do you need it? Get an IPod / 8gb thumb drive... can get more songs in there.

Leather seats? It's more like PVC for God sake.

ESC? Well... how fast do you take your corners?

Chrome Handles? Some places sells them for 40-60 bucks!

Shadow effect dials... that one... well... I've got to admit... it's nice.

Env Control... do you really need it?

Tat piece of paper can be used in the court of law as it is considered as a contract.
And FYI, a contract need not be written down, even verbal agreement can be amounted to a contract.

Nope... Verbal is only valid if you can prove it.

And that is by recording.

If you want... most phones now a days have that function... get them to verbally agree then if they were to change later... you know what to do.

A rough date.

It's totally unacceptable to leave the buyer hanging on a baseless date.

actually for a relationship to be in place in court, it can either through express agreement or implied agreement.

express agreement is through writting, black and white etc.

implied agreement can be verbally, behavior or action that lead to the agreement. so one cannot say sky and earth and in the end say no black and white so not counted. implied agreement still counted in court and can sue them if you buy the car because of the implied cause that was promised verbally by the dealer.

c&c don't just do our business only. c&c will deliver what they promised. If the contract state you get the car in oct/nov. The latest date you receive the car would be 30 Nov 09. The only thing that you need to worry is your freebies, your se may give you low quality product so that they can earn more commissions. especially going to jump boat type....so do some homework and get them state in the contract so if they never give you what they promise, you can go back to them...my 2 cents'' things to note when buying a Forte Icon_wink

Bring a seasoned car-lover along for bargain/negotiation. They will help you see things in many angles and perspective.

I made the mistake of not bringing one and got cut carrot.

Totally Correct!
For those who want to play Hard... Go get a laywer pay small amt of $$ to get a "lawyer letter" to issue to the SE cc C&C. and IF U WANNA PLAY PUNK. 3000 to start a case against them and minimum 3 yrs to see the session to court hearing.

If you peepz read enough..
A lot of crap happens in UBi.
You know why?
They are dealer.. Not Agent....
So if wanna see something drastic happens, all go to LK get.. .Leave the ubi options out and let see what happens...

The thing is, some of the bros here were promised 1 month wait, then they had shipment problems... but did they announce it or apologize for it...?

I think it's just dishonest, (IMHO, hiding the truth is also dishonest).

They had left me dangling for a car after I had made my payment w/o a expect to collect date... is that fair?

I dun expect the date to be the day after I make the payment... but @ least a date I can expect to see MY car.

I have yet to see a case being won just by verbal agreements where both parties have a different story to tell.

it depend on how lawyer fight le lo.. the woman charter also cannot anyhow use de. if there are sustainial evidence that the girl does the same implication to other people but yet only cry for molest simply because of disbute or dun like the face, the judge will know how to sentence bah.

the point is, implication do take into account in judgement. not necesary just black and white.. depending on scenerio la
