Flaws of Koup (auto)

My honda Fit.. no need to press brake can change from D to S (which is sports) and to N without brakes..
But from P to others need brakes.. and from D to R need brakes(and gear knob button)

Is it a fault (as in a fault that Kia has to rectify)

my house up till quite recently had an '06 Rio and Getz. Both require you to step on brake plus press button, before you can shift it down from P.

of course, D to N, there is no need.

I would be quite upset if the auto gear can shift from park to R/D without stepping brake.

yes, this is exactly what is being described, being able to switch to reverse even without stepping on the brakes when u're in park...

Hi bro Genesis33, My brother have a Honda Jazz too which works as described by u. So for Koup while in P, u can just pull the gear to N which means can also P to R. I haven tried P to D so cant confirm on that. But if can P to R I think P to D oso can lor.. all these without the need to step on the brake.

Jazz/Fit all have button on the gear rite?? Need to press/depress the button before you can change from P to R/D rite?? But think from R to D no need. This button cant be pressed/depressed if dun step on the brake.

But for those cars without button on the gear, I think most of them no need to brake before changing. Let me go ask around or try a few first. :-)

As for the passenger door, like Ano mentioned, its suppose to be a safety feature. Someone mentioned, then lock for what?? Well, so that ppl on the outside cannot open lor. Hehehe!! If I am not mistaken, many new cars are like that. I know for a fact camry driver door is like that. Cant remember for the passenger door. :-)

mm.. most of the issues are similar to forte and have been discussed b4.. guess the only one classified as "flaws" will be the protruding window.. seems like frameless windows always got issues..
the tension for the boot cable can be adjusted during servcing.. as for gear changing, dun rely on technology lor, cultivate the habit of using brake when necessary.. but i like the one tat says "memory seats got no memory" seriously did they market the feature as memory seats? if tats the case, really misleading..

the memory seats probably marketed for other regions, ours cheap cheap so dun hace...

hahah i'm giving the benefit of doubt that it is a faulty gearbox.. that kia would replace.

i find it weird that they can bother to do a safety catch on reverse for manual, but would overlook this basic brake feature...

nivlek: my friend who just got his Koup two days ago.. the driver side door lock piston jammed internally. It cant lock, even do the button switches.

so maybe, this is the case as well. thats a manufacturing defect, that i'm sure they will change.

These kind of things can niao one. haha.
