Auto Koup's Remote has key!

It's surprising to see the remote has a key inserted.
I wonder if it is for emergency use???

Any Koup owners can confirm?

It's for situtation when you are unable to open the doors with the remote. e.g when the remote's battery gone flat.

I can't remember but I copied as a .jpg during the many hours trawling for the Forte but ended up with Koup.

oh sorry wat i mean was when u r near the car, the door will unlock without pressing the remote

eh... there will be a button on the door handle.. the stock one will not auto unlock when we go near the car lah. we got to press the button to lock and unlock (if I am not wrong). and this shld be able to work only if the remote is nearby (not sure how near it must be). this is wat is called as keyless entry. Means no need take out the key loh.. hehe

Keyless entry button, you need to press the button with the keyless remote in your pocket near you!


There’s actually a key in this remote, check it out and this key is for emergency case like your remote is out of battery so you can’t enter the car, so you need to use the key to open your High tech KIA Forte, then use the charging dock to charge it before you start the engine! Coz you need batt in the remote for you to start your car too, if not it will not able to detect your remote key!


Push start button and the charging dock for the keyless remote.

There’s a safety feature implemented too, if you forget to take the remote out / leave your remote in the car, it will not allow you to lock your car! It’s a smart car don’t you think? Haha.

for auto only .....

anyway, will we be having two of such remote? cos i understand normally when buying cars, they will give u two sets of keys.

Overseas Koups can be different from local ones.

remote access is not a new thing, dun be too surprised.. its not very ex either so no reason y they dun wanna give it to u...

Yeah. I know it is not a new thing.

They do have the power to surprise.

the remote control can be recharged using the KEY FOB? means we do not have to change the battery in the remote?

i also actually thot the remote need batteries. so if run out of batteries, then need to run to buy batteries.. lol.. but how to charge if car cannot on ah? where the electricity supplies come from??
