[ 8th Meet Up Fortes & Koups] 13th Dec 09 Convoy from Ta

Guys Since the Chomp Charity Drive Through is also in the month of December, can i suggest we do the 8th MU on that day itself,

Advantages :
1) The MU time will be much earlier then typical normal 3pm on a sunday
2) Red Plates no worries for sunday
3) If the MU ends early, everyone has time for their own families and programmes
4) We get to do out 8th MU and Charity donation at the same time
5) We can convoy to the Chomp CHarity Drive Destination
6) We can avoid festive season so that everyone are able to have their festive celebration with their own families and friends
7) Will be able to cause other car clubs to turn their head while we make our grand entry previously like our 7th MU (although quite dark since it was held at nite -.-) this time is DAY time ! a new group is born


Details of the Chomp Charity Drive:
Date : 13th Dec 09
Time : 10am to 3pm
Destination : Kallang Leisure Mall Carpark G, Coach Shed

I think those aunties will have a hard time chasing everyone away from the Kallang carpark since there will be other car clubs at the Chomp Charity Drive too.

and those who had gotten their KOUPS.....COME SHOWCASE THEM YEAH !!

I think its a win-win situation for us as we will not affect any of individual's festive season programmes since its not held during that period

AGENDA
- Meet 10~10.30am at Tampines Ikea Carpark 2nd storey (less cars there more parking space)
- Dark Knight will be collectings donations from members who wish to contribute, and proceed to Giant to buy stuff to be donated to Charity Drive Thru at Kallang
- Form up, briefing by the lead car and move off for convoy at 12 ~ 12.30pm to Kallang Leisure Mall Carpark
- Before entering , we will form up again by the road side where we did at the previous nite convoy. And we will enter in as a row, I forsee that there will be break ups along the convoy as its day traffic
- Estimated arrival at Kallang Leisure Mall Carpark 1pm
- Do the charities
- Catching up and admiring poisons
- OTOT for your own programmes

Note : As its going to be a hot day i presume since our activities is gng to be around the time where the sun is at the peak, please don get dehydrated as we mingle around in the open carpark of Kallang Leisure Park

I should be able to make it if I not too tired after zoukout. Hehehe!! Maybe I go straight after!! :-)

But zoukout I not confirmed yet. Cos on the 11th I have a wedding to attend in KL. So should be driving up on either the 10th or the 11th. Then on the 12th morning drive back here to go for zoukout. Have friends here going, also friends from KL coming for it.

So I think by 13th morning, if I go zoukout, I should be pretty knackered and totally shagged!! :-)

But then.....I will try my best to make it. :-)

The Coach Shed is having renovation, saw it last friday at Kallang.

Chomp Team Charity will be moved over to where we parked last friday, its just in front of the coach shed. Paiseh Paiseh.

No worries, as long as the event is still held at Kallang Leisure Car Park , we will be able to find it

the direction is simple from ikea head out about 5min drive then is expressway all the way. But one part will be super tricky.

OMG, just realised tt day i need to send wedding cakes to my inlaws. Will confirm can join or not.... If cannot convoy, will at least go to ikea to pass the side pockets if anyone buying is going down.

I only know 1 way to get to Whitesands at Pasir Ris Drive 1. Thats all!! Dunno how to go anywhere else. But I think the Ikea is quite near there. Hahaha!! :-)

The part before we turn into SLE from ikea. Usually there is some confusion if you are there first time.

The red line though is a short journey, the traffic is quite heavy especially sundays and there are 2 traffic lights with horrible timings.

There is a shorter way: Form Tampines North Dr 2, turn left into Tampines Rd (instead of right), then follow the road and turn out into TPE - no traffic lights (except for the one in front of Courts)

After Api Api Flyover, keep left, turn left into KPE

Exit KPE at Nicoll Highway (alternative from exiting at Sim Drive), turn right at the traffic light, keep left and turn left into the Stadium area

haha, actually shld just meet at the carpark beside National Stadium (view away from Leisure Park).. then re-arrange vehicles to convoy into the designated area (less than 1km).

But of course attract less attention than whole convoy travelling on the roads...

Never use this route from day 1.

I always use the route taken by ctoh. Just that the road names are not correct.

Instead of turning right, I will turn left and just drive all the way till the road becomes the slip road into TPE. And like what ctoh says, there's no traffic lights.

decided not to plan this meetup during festive seasons so that more pple can come......but seems otherwise...haiz...

yo bros going for the 8th MU,

did a small discussion with some forte bros, I suggest that since we are going to Kallang Charity Drive, we each can fork some $$ (perhap $10) combine and then we walk over to Giant supermart purchase Food items (like milo, biscuits etc). When we reach Kallang, we will hand over the items to the charity in charge.

We F.O.G.S. also good saints and fully support in helping needy pple!

Above is my suggestion la, but also welcome more better ideas if you have.
