u gotten the car yet? if not, try the stock 17" first coz as is, the ride is oredi quite firm and the auto can feel sluggish. if lup 18", the ride could turn into harsh and pickup could be sibei constipated.

I hvt received my Koup yet...which is why i was thinking of changing rims on the first day of collection,..coz the rims shops take in at a higher value n i dun really like the stock rims..haha...so im lost as to whether i should change to a 17 or 18....

ever since my last pump i've been mostly on highways so not possible to tell if i can get 9L/100km if i went easy on the 1st 2 gears

wah! my best is 11l/km on highways.. LOL! cos i dun go untol 130km/h la.. only goes at 80-90km/h..

maybe its because mine is manual and i don't step on the accelerator all the time, i tend to step till it hits a higher speed then i totally release my foot and rest until it starts to slow down

perhaps thats why i'm able to hit > 8L/100km
would be nice if others could provide some feedback too

anybody stay near boon lay? with an auto koup?
maybe we can do a short race off the line from 0 - 60

i don't think my koup is slow, the 1st 2 gears are really powerful and the clutch is very low so its very easy to throw the clutch and sprint the vehicle

My average is currenly 8.3l/100km

But my odo still in low 3 digits..heh

wat the sprint booster does is to adjust the signal coming out of the gas pedal so that when u step a little, it tells the throttle to open more... it does not increase horsepower or anything, just makes ur pedal more responsive...

as such, it can fit in most cars... dun think the cvt affects anything... if cvt affects it, then i think we're talking about different things...

i know sprint booster does not increase hp la bro.... i know wat it does.... juz that dun think they produce for kia cars....

kia factory accidently slipped in a turbo in ur koup izit?...haha

the koup is not painfully slow (hv driven some 2.0L cars that are worse...) but i certainly wouldn't go around telling everyone it's fast.

if a stock-std car can outrun a torquey sonata, skoda superb taxi or even a 125cc motorbike from the lights then can consider it brisk. many NA cars below 2.4L can't do that.

i tested 1.6m koup b4. honestly i dont find the pick that fantastic leh. like normal sedan, nothing to hu ha about it.

as a koup owner, i oso want to tink my car is damn fast. but i've driven and owned many cars and can conclude that while it's not exactly sluggish, it's also no tarmac burner. maybe it's faster than your previous car but in reality, it's not any faster than any family 1.6L car so i would be careful abt posting such claims on other forums. it would be embarrassing when other use this as an excuse to mock the koup.

cant expect too much (on the pick up) from auto but just a smooth ride should be what we are looking for..

I drive my dad's megane pick up even worse, but most of the time i also drive on first lane and there'll be lots of ppl blocking me... btw, i'm not a heavy-footer... I have the best fc amongst my family, just have to know when to accelerate and when to keep constant...

Koup heavier? koup is lighter by 40kg for 1.6m and 20 kg for 1.6auto; still lighter for 2.0...
