Fuel Consumption
Who have collected your ride yet? SE told me FC is about 13-14km/L, anyone got about this range?
Pathfinder- Moderator
Re: Fuel Consumption
visited the showroom on Sat. SE told me 1.6EX FC is 13-14km/L. And 1.6SX FC is 11-12km/L.

Re: Fuel Consumption
Hi Gravin... Huh how come EX's FC is different from SX's FC?
Is it due to the difference in weight? Not very likely if you ask me...
I would only think there will be a diff if it is an auto or manual (Auto sapping more energy and thus drinking more fuel...)
When you were at the showroom, were you looking at the EX?

No la...i tink it is due to the difference in the rims+tyres. EX 15", SX 17" ma. My SX giving me 8.5l/100km most of the time.

My best FC was 7.8l/100km...but tat was like 85% highway.

Re: Fuel Consumption
finally booked a 1.6SX (A) today! Yippie!!!
Checked with the SE again, she mentioned SX is 11-12km/L. I would say likely due to tyres. 17" will definitely drink more than a 15".

Re: Fuel Consumption
many of us easily forget that tyre pressure also plays a colossal role in FC...just increase the pressure to a degree thats not too bumpy for you and still within safe manufacturer's limit and FC will definitely be better

Actually im not sure, does it matters? I tot its all about the route and "qin gong" of the paddle foot? hehe

Re: Fuel Consumption
Manual should be able to cough out a better FC but if the driver is a redliner...also no use.
Fortec- Senior Member
Re: Fuel Consumption
Yes, itz true. Fuel comsumption it all depends on driver. And if you are the type that always like to chiong, even if you have a very energy saving car, you use it like running tap water, so whatz the point.
greatgazoo- Senior Member
Re: Fuel Consumption
Agree, but if really want to save petrol to increase FC, can try ever 2k rpm change gear.... then cruise at 80km/hr all the way...

Yes it does matters bro. for similar style of driving under similar conditions, auto always consume more petrol than manual.

no air-can only fan eg...
