Some indicator questions (1.6 SX) Empty Some indicator questions (1.6 SX)

Post by nofears 27th July 2009, 9:55 pm

Hi All,

I have some questions for the 1.6SX owners,

1) Does the car some with reverse sensor indicators? I know the sound exists but does it have the light on the dashboard?

2) Do you have a seat belt warning light?

3) Does the car come with an immobiliser?

4) For your bluetooth, is the mic really really soft?

Thanks

4) is loud and clear... if u happen to press the >| (on the bluetooth) when ur hp ring, the volume will be small.. This method is wrong as claim by my se... u should press answer button on ur hp instead of any buttons on the bluetooth itself.

Yes I'm refering to centre arm rest. If don't have but I believe it be custome make one right. I think of can make one got hidden compartment underneath to put camera or MP3 player inside which can be slide to close and open.

got ah, both front and back got...

front on can but sun tan lotion, I put my long yen wallet also big enuff.

reverse indicator i infront of steering wheel for SX.
but dun rely on that, cos when u park, best is focus on the physical car and surrounding, use the sound as warning or guide only.

Can anyone who has a chance take a pic of the reverse sensor indicator? I can't find it and I went down just now to check again and it's not there, is it part of the dashboard(integrated to your fuel gauge etc.) or added-on?

I'm using a manual SX, im sure i'm suppose to have that as well.

I just read the brochure, and found out that it's suppose to be shown where the door open indicator is at. I'll check again to see if it appears or not and try to fiddle around with the trip button to display it.

Reverse gear MUST be engaged before reverse indicator starts to appear on instruments cluster. For that matter, reverse sensors are "active" only with reverse gear engaged.

Reverse indicator will replace ODO readout window

Is there a reason why it should / would be otherwise?

haha, all dash board very small ley, how to squeeze so many things in it? ours very hi-tech ley, remove the unwanted things when u dont need.

Eg. when u reverse, u don't need odometer
when u drive u need reverse sensor indicator for what? no use just disappear.

but seriously, u dun need u see that screen, focus on the surrounding.

One more thing to add.. the "bars" will only show at the supervision cluster when it detect object. So if you engage reverse gear with nothing behing the caar the "bar" and sound will not come on. Cheers..

Yes I did engage the reverse gear and upon looking at the dashboard it did not switch to the reverse sensor icon, I still haven't tried playing around with the trip button to try and change the icons shown, I'll do it tomorrow and update.

Also based on the manual for stock tires, it's recomended to be 32 kpi. However I visually find it to be kinda flat as compared to when it came with 34 kpi. Is anyone using the recomended pressure?

i m driving SX manual also, what i observe is that when u shift to reverse gear, nothing will show on the dashboard, when u start reversing, and ur car getting nearer to the object behind, the beep beep sound will start, then u see the reverse indicator appear at the ODO window, it will show which direction got object and how close it is to ur car ... as for tyre pressure, i normally pump to 34 or 35 kpi, i think the max is about 50kpi, so don't worry too much if u inflate ur tyres over 32kpi a little bit ... btw, when i collected my car, the tyre pressure was 47kpi and i drove around for about a week or so without knowing it, nothing happen

Thanks Xmen2, I'll take note of it, maybe I need to get close to an object before it changes.

if you are reversing into a parking lot, make use of the reflection of your car on the next one to guide you in....

if the car next to you is parked nicely, and roughly the same length as yours, then align your rear view wing mirror to the car parked next to you.

sure no wrong....
