Blind Spot Tiny Side Mirror
I believe there are many mirror gadgets to help you change lane with a good view of the blind spot.
For example:
1. Get a larger and longer reaview mirror - however I don't want to give up the use of the electric chromic rear view mirror
2. Attach those off-the-shelf tiny mirror on the side mirrors (left or right side)
Anybody has other alternatives or better suggestions ?

Attach those off-the-shelf tiny mirror on the side mirrors <-- this works quite well
Last alternative and also the safest !!
Turn your head and check your blind spot manually !

Re: Blind Spot Tiny Side Mirror
The problem with option 2 is that when you reverse park, these tiny mirrors may block the image of the car-next-to-you (especially on the passenger side). The image is displayed on the tiny mirror which may very small and difficult to judge the distance. More serious when the car park is dark

Option 2 works well for me. Ever since I started to used it on my previous car, now can't do w/o it.

blindspot mirror are not meant for reverse parking.. they are meant to see are you in the box and assist you to avoid kerb. The original mirror are for parking..

Re: Blind Spot Tiny Side Mirror
usu.. i will try to maximize the side mirrors angle to the widest.. (just barely see the body of cars..) i believe this eliminate the blind spot well... within the same line.. but not too sure of the main rear view mirror, i always use addon mirror... but this one comes with ECM...

During reversing should be using the actual side mirror right ?
only when checking blind spot then look at the small blind spot mirror juz to take note if any car or bikes are there

Re: Blind Spot Tiny Side Mirror
Actually, one of the best I've used is the one that SG driving instructors use.
The one that is kidney shaped that sits on top of the side mirror's cover.

Nope, coz I aways look ahead and scan the area before commit the turn.

It's a common problem for all cars.
But it's even worse for cars that have a "closer" windscreen..

Re: Blind Spot Tiny Side Mirror
i also added the blind-spot mirror to avoid kerb rash after hitting the kerb few times in mscp.Terrier wrote:

still safer to turn and check the blind-spot.
I also find that the A-pillar is blocking my view while turning.Siaoster wrote:dono whether you guys encounter a not,

now i tend to lean forward a little when making a turn.

Re: Blind Spot Tiny Side Mirror
i think our forte side mirror very big liao ley, I never driven a car with such big mirror.
If u dirve like me, always on the right most lane, so u can extend ur left mirror to the max (but must see some body lah) cos I seldom use it for driving mostly for reverse parking. And to extend that further out, can see those blind spot that are on the left. That way, when I reverse park i can see the 2 white lines of the parking lot.
The right side see more body cos head right turn can see blind spot easily. and because the we are seated on the right, u can dun have to extend so much also can see alot.
