that because u are made of flesh and blood.. CAR are just a piece of metal junk that is cover up by paint. Of cos u can try if u dun mind the paint peeling off or color losing fade... perhaps I suggest u use "DOVE" to wash car, might be suitable afterall. Ya.. use the one that contain moisturiser.. lol

Re: budget car wash soap?
true enough, i also dunno what chemicals are use in for the car shampoo but at least i knw my shampoo got methanol blah blah etc...
At least i knw some shampoo chemicals are bad for metal.. If u want play safe, u can always try got some litmus paper to test the acidic or akaline of the solution..

Re: budget car wash soap?
an answer based on facts would be : body wash etc. is meant to clean off oil from ur hair & skin. it will strip away the layer of wax which protects the paint.
car shampoo is not really a necessity - but still most people use it anyway (incl. me) - because human beings relate foam and bubbles to having a good cleaning effect
in fact all u would need is a hose and microfibre sponge to remove road grime and dust. contaminants that are bonded on the surface, will need claybar. watermarks and other surface stains will not be removed with car shampoo anyway - work them out with polish or wax.

Ya.. u right in some sense... Agree that normal washing won't really help remove contaminants.. Need some extra steps such as claybar, polishing etc to remove..
Normally my own personal feeling, too much foam isn't a good for car either.. So i bascially just for the 1st two wash, i use plain water.. 3rd wash then use shampoo..

The fact is.. if you use any car shampoo and your car paint peels off or etc.. den you can SUE the company for compensation..
If you use human shampoo and your car paint peels off.. your pocket will have big holes.. because you need to do tuff kote, and 2 times paintwork to revive the metal on your car..
anyway try at your own risk.. why not use T3 body wash.. its acne free.. can prevent acne on your car.. =)

Car have their own shampoo to take care the car paint and same for pet.
Everyone use pet's shampoo to clear on our body or use our usual shampoo on their dear loving pet.
Certain product got their purpose one.

I agree car shampoo not really neccessary. I have tried on several rides and tested. I just clean it often enuff so that stain like bird poo wont stick on ur paint work. but once a while would be good to wax, for lazy ppl like me, can do PPS, which so far mine is pretty good.

also - for those lazy to wash car.
i find that wiping down with quick detailer spray every 3 days or so, is much easier to maintain than washing every week. in fact when i drove up to KL and back, through alternating heavy rains and sunshine along the way - thereafter just spent about 20mins wiping - car looks freshly washed and waxed.
the tiring part of washing car is actually drying it with cloth, unless you have those air blower.

Re: budget car wash soap?
Get Hi-Glaze. a non soapy type. its a kind of sealant, very good and wont kill your paint glossiness in long run. has been using on my 1st and 2nd car.

Re: budget car wash soap?
I tried some floor cleaner solution last time because I ran out of car shampoo..but I find it's not as effective as proper car shampoo..just go ShengSiong and buy those 10dollars for 2liter stuff, cheap and economical.
