Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
So far so good for the ride.
Except the reverse sensor and folding mirror done by third party (free by CNC).
My reverse sensor sometimes crazy. Beeps continuously once i engage reverse gear (but there is nothing at the back). Have to re-engage a few times then it works normally. Highlighted to CNC at 1k servicing but dont have time to wait for them to arrange with 3rd party to come down to check. Will call them up at 5k servicing to get them to arrange for the 3rd party vendor to come down first before i send in the car for servicing (saves time).
As for auto-fold mirror, guess i will have to live with being unable to disable it for the time being.

Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
huh.....astroboy28, where is the scratch ? if its hairline, might be able to polish away. If too deep, then get the touch-up paint from CNC. MB colour code is DO. Costs is $8 (before GST).
pessimizt- Senior Member
Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
its $8.56.
I just got mine from the friendly LK service centre. even at 7.30 they already open shop although official work time is 8.30.
mine was deep. Think need to touch up a few times to the original thickness then send to CS-II to ask for more help.

Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
hello swat_kh, CS-II web (www.unique1995.com.sg)
Ummm.....vkool ? I am not sure if they have PPS leh.
CS-II is PPS (paint protection system). It is a layer of protection on top of the paint.
The costs is about $256 after discount (think need to quote them "my car forum" or something). If not, the actual costs is about $320.

Think it is not included, coz i bought that time is the 10% off weekend promo, so not much freebie...

Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Oic......think vkool is one of the most expensive for solar film.
Can try look around others and compare the warranty and quality (how much reduction of harmful rays).
Cheers and have a great weekend.

Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
I am not yet a metal bronze. Still waiting for my COE. But SE told me I will only receive my metal bronze in late Oct or Nov. If late Oct I don't mind wait. Late Nov can't wait. I have to send my current car for LTA check, renew insurance and road tax by Nov. So now X finger everything "SOON SOON". Hope tomorrow got COE. Then SE tell me I can get my Bronzie in Oct. If not I have to choose existing stock...

Thanks for the encouragement. I have the patience, but LTA and insurance got no patience. Some more I am driving a car that is suppose to go for it's 130k servicing this week and I am skipping it. I was told by my SE that metal bronze is one of the hottest colour and therefore the stock has to wait for shipment. However, I only saw white, silver and graphite on the road. Seen red and black once. Yet to see my preferred colour, bronze, blue and titanium. Where are you guys?

Ha... I very shy 1 leh
Yes! Got my COE today SE told me the new batch only metal bronze will come with push start. She says I should be getting push start one, but got to top up another $1K Do you guys think it's worth it? Or I can do at aftermarket at cheaper price? If can do at cheaper price, then might as well choose existing stocks and do it later...
Bed- Junior Member
Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Push start is nice !
But $1k i find is too much ! Better check with your SE the $1k is only for push start ? Or got some other items like 2-way alarm, remote start, etc.

I think only push start How? My heart ask me to go for push start, but my mind ask me to go for key start. Advantage of push start is: 1. It's a cool gadget that attracts me in their ad. 2. It's definitely a new stock and hopefully the windshield cracking problem is solved. 3. It's my first chocie of colour. Advantage of key strat: 1. I will be getting the car sooner, SE says as soon as next week. 2. It's cheaper by $1k. 3. Can get a not so common colour so that I can recognise my car from far
Bed- Junior Member
Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Bro, u cud check. I believe luvxiaobeng sister did the push start. Unlikely to cost $1000 if my memory serve me right.
duncton- Junior Member
Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Ok. Looking at the response, I think not worth it to top up $1k for this feature. Wait til tomorrow when my SE get back to me on the colour left for available stock then decide again.
Bed- Junior Member
Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Probably you can double confirm with your SE again and tell him/her that aftermarket push start alone is less than $500. How come you are charging $1000 ? Maybe they have additional feature ? Like keyless entry ?
pessimizt- Senior Member
Push start
Hi
I reckon that $1k for push start is very x.
I was told by my SE that the upcoming shipment for metal bronze come with push start but take away ESC as compensation. SO DO NOT top up the $1K.

Sian, ytd something urgent, then drive my car to fetch my mum to hospital ard 3am. Think is too tired then, accidentally got a big scratch at my right front bumper area when turning ard into the carpark, damn heart pain. Thinking of going down to Sin Min Drvie today to do the re-paint, dunno hw much its cost then... Haiz... its only 3 days old...

Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Is it? Less than $500 and C&C charging me for $1k more and without ESC? Yeah. Must really find out from SE what's new with the new batch other than push start. If it's keyless entry with immobilizer, I am still ok without ESC.

Oh no! Really heart pain for such new car. May I suggest a spray shop at 1017, Yishun Industrial Park A, #01-252 and look for Ah Song at 67537879. I always look for him whenever I am not claiming insurance. Relatively cheap. Another cheap and fast shop is Hup Hup Workshop at 27-A, Jurong Port Road, #01-29. Look for Leslie at 97264226. Recommended during my last accident. Was quoted cheap and fast. But too ULU so decided to go back look for Ah Song. If you work near Jurong Port Road, then look for Leslie.

Re: Calling all Metal Bronzete
Sorry to hear of the incident swat_kh.
I think respray usually is a few hundred (less then $300) depends on the area.
Sometimes might need to respray whole bumper because they will say if only spray one side, the other side will look funny.

Ya i know abt this, but it cant be help since the car plate cannot be remove. This is going to be costly, and a costly lesson too to be careful when driving... Thanks pessimizt.
