How to connect GPS to car battery

to all bros, any bros know how to connect the GPS power directly (w/o the rechargeable battery) to the car battery? tks

er don't really get wad u mean .
but i juz connect from the cigarette socket . didn't took off the batt becuz i'm driving a manual car .
if car stall gps will stop . then must restart . search for signal . very hassle .

so can connect the cig socket wire if u dont want to connect to the cig socket directly...

bro tish, but ugly leh especially when i'm goin to install it at the driver's side (which means the wire will be running across the dash board and down to the cig socket. prefer to have it connected directly to the car battery leh. also if you connect to cig socket, the gps can drain your car batt prematurely if you forgot to turn it-off manually.

Hmm... then u got to ask mechanic to DIY the wire connect to the cig socket but behind the dashboard where nothing can be seen de.... or u can tap the ERP wire also

Any ICE installer worth his salt can do the job. Just run the wiring up from behind the dash like your ERP IU can already. Don't forget to run a fuse along the line.

ok i finally get wad u mean .
yeah a bit ugly , the wire run pass the dashboard . but bo bian , its the owner + car tat makes it looks the whole car looks nice . not gps .
if call mechanic , there goes ur S11 ..

If it's a Garmin unit you are using, you can set it up to power down in 30-seconds after loss of external power. No worries.
