Touchscreen ICE with GPS

Hi guys, I guess alot of you here have been talking about the GPS done by Mancando and I have requested them to email me the pics so that I can post it down here and get your response.
I really like to get hold of this GB if response is good

Wow. Can I enquire abt how long the installation will take & how much MCD is charging us for this? Got voice command too rite?

I'm not sure of this bulit-in GPS yet as MCD told me that they need at least 20 people to do it before they let me organise a GB. MCD can get a cheaper price if there is at 20 people who wants it. Price before GB is estimated $1200 or below. Not sure how long it will take to install and I'm sure if there is any voice command. will ask then let you all know.

Console is from korea with 7" LCD touchscreen.
Map use is speednavi which is much very accurate then any other GPS. It could pin point you to the location where any other GPS can't, it applies even in Malaysia.
Comes with hidden reverse camera with parking assist also.

nope the one at leng kee is the smaller n simplfied one

thank greatgazoo. Another question. May I is there any SD card slot for this unit? And I saw an option call "Movie" so i assume it should be able to play mp4 format movie. and also can we change the map ourselves if there is an update map available?

Hi Kenneth, not sure if there is SD card slot but there is USB port for u to plug in ur thumbdrive to play movies, I think it will be better than SD card cos bigger storage if u wan can also do tv tuner for u but that will be extra cost.

Yes, mcd set comes with sd slot...they hide it at the glove compartment.

NotIng, our factory unit is not DVD compatible, so original also can't play so how to play chiong one. But by using thumbdrive, u can play also everthinh as long as the format is rite

Mmm...i suppose also can play from external harddisk since can play from thumbdrive means got USB port...

so confirm cant play DVD? Can the set be modified to link to a DVD player? ( in car set ). I'm really interested in GB if its not too ex cuz it doesnt support DVD

Bro not that it doent support but our original player is not a DVD unit, so how to support, itz the other way round.

Yes, there is a cable for you to link to your external DVD player if you have one

Ahh Thanks bro!! :-) Think I need it cos can really get lost sometimes. Hehehe!! :-) Plus the old street directory I have is almost in pieces due to heavy usage!! Hahaha!! :-)

Saw an advert on a chinese newspaper today (forgot xin ming or wan bao) featuring the SpeedNavi GPS system. SpeedNavi seems very good and accurate. The graphic seems quite nice too

I really like this gps, hopefully more people can join in the gb.

PS: by the way i havent got my car too. But think will be here in the next shipment (hopefully) *fingers crossed*

The set looks huge in my opinion.

Guys dun you think with a larger screen you have a better view instead of straining your eyes to look at those smaller version?

This the website which the above GPS is using. It will include both SG and Malaysia and it is very accurate.

I don't mind to have a larger screen, but at that location where seem to be too protruding

When it's too big and protruding... it's more of an distraction than anything else.

Anyway, I'm using a 4" GPS one now and it suits me just fine. As long as the voice navi works.

The setup looked rather awkward to me too.

Would prefer a portable unit like the Garmin Nuvi 255W (new Singapore map comes with 3D Junction View and Lane Assist).
Can place the Nuvi unit anywhere I want on the windscreen or dashboard and adjusted to my preferred viewing angle.

If not using, can just kept out of sight in the glove compartment. This is unless you are also looking for the reverse camera and movie playback feature.

BTW, I'm using HTC Touch HD phone's GPS feature for navigation. Software used is Mapking. Map is from Malsingmaps.

i would suggest that those who find it too big and distracting can take a look at the actual set first and you may change yr mind pictures can be misleading as the angle taken is different.

it really looks ok on the actual set. the reason why i like an embeded one is, to me it's really a hassle to take it in and out. sometimes may even forget and then invite car thieves.

the back of the set is a 'curve' not box, that's why wont really obstruct yr vision of the road.

not exactly blocking the view.. and i think bigger screen should be better too... but i think its not really good to play video at that location. driver concentration will sure be affected.. (in the 1st place.. if video playing to driver against law?)

For safety wise, this GPS is bulit in such a way that once the car move off, all entertainment such as moive or video playing will be cut off and switch to GPS mode.

As what meeoows had said, the actual thing is not as bad as what you think and that distracting.

I ganrantee you will love it.

Yup! Do go and see the actual thing, it's very impressively embedded.

The graphics are clearer on the big screen too.

The price tentatively set at $1250.

So far from what I know there is video viewing function, hidden reverse camera, SG & Malaysia map, MP3 player and GPS direction voice command.

Our stock cant play dvd so dvd is out of the question. But we can store movies in our thumbdrive and plug into the GPS and view. If you have a personal portable dvd play, u can also plug it and view.

Sorry guys for being a little confused here.

Does the unit link to the ICE? If so, meaning while the GPS is in use, any form of audio (radio, mp3 or CD) will be cut off from the speaker system?

This unit looks better than the one offered by C&C since this has a bigger screen. At one glance, you will be able to see your current location, rather than squinting into a smaller screen.

It's not link to ICE. You can still continue to use your ICE as usual. Only movie or TV viewing is cut-off.

I call C&C once and ask them how much and they told me $1,500, immediately I say thanks and put down my phone

Intially MCD told me in order to hold this GB, will need at least 20 people. But I told him is ridiculous. I'm now trying very hard to ask him to bring down to less than 10 or maybe even 8 if you guys are really interested.

How does GB work? We opt-in to GB and what's next? Guess we fix our own appointment? Valid till when?

Coz I have not gotten my car yet. Waiting for shipment...

I try to push them cos we still negotiating with the map dealer to bring down to less than 10 people. Its not the casing that hold the GPS but rather the GPS that is giving us the problem. If this GB is going to be succeed, as long as you place your deposit, I will reserve one set at the agree price till you get your car. Casing is import from Korea.

Since I have people asking, maybe I will just start off for those people who is interested so that I can conclude whether this GB is possible anot
