aux iPod cable length

hi all,
any1 know if KIA sell a longer cable? Or 3rd party shop sell?

I thought that length is pretty sufficient liao. Any longer will be messy ley. Besides, you can control ur ipod from ur steeering wheel and your car console only.

That length is good enuff liao i tink..although i still hvn use it...still inside the plastic..keke...

The cable KIA give is 2 in 1, u can buy extension cable that is not 2 in 1 and plug to the car first, then connect it to the KIA 2 in 1 cable.

my friend got a similar cable when he installed ipod thingy in his colt. think the cable can buy outside, about 30 plus i think.

was thinking of making my own ipod dock so the ipod wont look so messy sleeping in that hole. Think there is big enugg space there to do something.

u friend must have gotten the cig socket cable for ipod?

I just check, its not ciggie lighter socket. but then its also not the same as ours.

Hi, issue i'm facing is I intend to use my iphone as GPS. Therefore need to place iphone somewhere visible above dashboard. But doing so, can't connect to port bcoz cable too short so can't listen to mp3 or have speech playback via car sound system (ie. "300m turn right...") at same time

Hmmm.. I am curious, but can ur iphone playback music and use GPS at the same time? Cos wen i play ipod, only the screen with Kia logo appears.

I am not sure about iphone and would like to know, cos I am getting iphone 3Gs next month.

i collected mine on saturday 11.30.
I plugged in my ipod, ok not mine, my GF ipod once i got in the car.
anyway, its just plug and play for me. maybe u need to toggle between the modes on ur steering wheel.

Mine is i-touch. i try to change the mode on the steering wheel and also try press the "AUX" on the console.... but both method dont work. Any bro encounter same problem? if not i going to feedback to SE liao.

i touch not sure leh, i pod and i phone i know can....

iPhone plug in, auto change to aux mode. Phone will prompt if u want to on air plane mode. Simply press no and carry on listen mp3.

What I'm trying to do is if using gps app, then voice should play from car speaker by connecting the KIA cable.
If play mp3, then won't use gps.

Therefore need longer cable so that iPhone can be on dashboard and not the bottom holder.

jkit is right, just plug in the ipod and it will auto play the music, i tried once and its very idoit proof, plug in can play already....

The cable provided only for iPod right?

For other MP3 players like Creative and normal thumb drive, just plug in directly to the USB port can liao?
