No Media .. IPOD

I used the ipod cable provided and connect to the car USB/aux port.
And after depress the AUX button.. this is what i see..

Is this normal.. or the cable is use for charging only..
To listen to ipod need to connect the aux plug only?????

I plug the cable harder to the iPod and it starts to load,
the Kia motor logo is seen but there is no sound.

Change to iphone3G but show device is not compatible.

However , when use USB, it works fine.
Is it a faulty?

Bro, faced the same problem initially, unable to display and jumped to audio, you need to pluck in a few times to get it to work. Whats your iPod may I know? Am using the old iPod Classic 80gb, ok.

Will see KIA logo on iPod screen, controls from car HU only, you won't be able to select anything from the iPod.

My iPod is old model, those with click wheel type.
The Kia logo can be seen and song selection can be done on the HU.
However, there is no sound from the speakers after song
is enter.

Another thing is that when I connect iPhone 3G to the HU.
A message shown on iPhone that the device is not compatible
and not able to connect.

Bro, 4th gen iPod the white colored one? maybe you need to flash it, cos think the software version not compatible. Or, you try to pluck in and out again, when the HU is on, then you adjust the connector.
