paint chipped off...how? :(

only about 1 week+ old...and my rear door got its paint chipped off (1mm*1mm) after my friend opened it too fast and furious and hit the railings.

then just spotted another 10mm*5mm at the right side of vehicle (near bonnet). dunno when i got it


any remedies?

Get the touch-up paint from CnC. About $8 for a small bottle.

i think these kinda things bo bian one, sooner or later our car also holes here n there, the more we want to maintain the more damage it shows.... lol

Mine is even worse...yest park at my hse carpark for whole day din even drive out..tdy went to drop sth inside my car found a 3-4cm scratch on the door on the passenger side...damnz...curse that fellow!curse him n his future generations..

New car sure will feel heart pain..as time goes by u will not bother about it liao..just get the touch-up paint from C&C will do..

Yup, try get the original colour paint from C&C to do the touch up if not during the meet up, you pass me the paint and I will do the spray job for you.

got check is the paint belows to your car or the railing?? usually paint wont chip off unless u dent it den peel it off.. try feel the paint layer feel above or underneath it.. if above means it is railing paint.. can remove easily.. if underneath.. den follow what gazoo recommend =)

Ya! Especially small kids! They open the door big big and swing hard hard! Hard pain sia..one of the worst scene is at MSCP..where you park ur car near the pillar..then when they alight, they just open the door without even noticing the pillar...and u hear a "cock" sound..and there goes ur car door! Hai..

LOL!! i agree.. kidz always haf the tendency of ramming ur car doors onto other cars.. my niece and nephew will always get my naggings whenever they get very rowdy.. anyway, my heart popped out yesterday when my sis-in-law's sis slammed the car door as if my car is an old car.. wah lao.......

My car also has a 1x1mm of paint chipped off on the boot (but no dent), and some scratches on the front bumper.
I had no idea how this damage came abt?

The counter where u pay for after servicing and collecting back your key...just tell them touch up paint they will know, like those lady nail polish bottle....

OK thanx.. noted will purchase a bottle to keep in case need touch up...so dont need to drive all the way back just to purchase.

Heads-Up! Call the service centre first to make sure they have it before you travel all the way down to buy that bottle of touch up paint. Tried Ubi, after 'suffering' the evening mad traffic and they told me they don't have it.

For me, personally I try to avoid parking beside MPVs cause those always got small kids who love to swing door open hard hard. Anyway, these nicks and scratches cannot help it one la... Sooner or later sure tio... sigh...

anyway, the touch up spray already colour will be absolutely same as original? Might have slight difference right?

i applied the touch up paint with the "nail-polisher" brush thats with it.

maybe i didnt do a good job, coz i can see a small odd patch, if observed closely.

think the most important thing is to buy a touch up paint from kia servicing centre first

next target buy air gun... cause if you use the nail posh to apply.. the paint will look odd...

Not at all lah xiaobeng! Got questions or doubts just ask lah.
Personally, I don't think they'll cover the paint chips as they'll say it's wear n tear and not because the paint drop by itself. However, we can always claim the paint chips right after servicing - (I send in car just now...don't have this...this ....and THIS one leh!?!?!? Why now so many chips!?!?!?)

wow... i spotted at right rear bumber where the paint look not even during the collection... but so sueh forgot to ask the SE on the spot due to got other issue there, then today found the paint chip off... go down the pandan service center, they come n look, said it was been TOUCH UP before, so they wont cover this... wah lau, how come new car can have touch up???!! now only two weeks leh... got to push the SE do something for me.. and somemore hoh.. the so call service adviser at pandan really yayah leh... very bad attitude...
