forte or mazda2

Hi guys... still have not get my forte yet... but i saw the mazda2 sedan in the internet... and it is coming to malaysia in early may.... I was wondering... which one will be better.... forte 1.6 or the mazda2 sedan 1.5?
the look of the mazda2 sedan is quite good.....

if mazda2 is still using the old engine design, i guess choosing forte will be a good choice due to petrol consumption. maybe you search for more reviews on mazda2 and it's specs in the web.

It depends on your needs and usage. Mazda2 and Forte are 2 different category of cars, even if the prices are similar. Mazda2 is a small compact car, something like Vios or City, while Forte is more of a small family car like Mazda3, Civic or Altis.

You'll have to try for yourself if the compact interior of Mazda2 suits your taste. But being a small car with a smaller 1.5l engine, I forsee that you'll get better FC mileage. However if you need to ferry your family or friends around, then the Forte will be more useable. Outlook wise it all depends on individual tastes.

For me, I'll choose the Forte anytime over Mazda2, but that is stating the obvious

I think my Forte will be late also so i still have the choice to choose. I think i will have to see both car then only decide... Just cant wait so thinking of asking the forte brothers here....

Is there a sedan version of Mazda 2 coming?

My previously ride was Mazda 2 SP the old version and I have been a fan of Mazda and thought that I will upgrade to M3 or M5 for my next ride.

For Forte, I think you need to compare it with M3 (M2 is too small and compact comparing with Forte) which I did.

Forte win in most area and the saving of choosing Forte against M3 is substantial enough to cover my petrol expenses for 2 years! I am a low mileage user 40K for 4 years of ownership.

Bro jeromeccm, as some of the bro here mentioned....it about your needs.

If u got a family + kids & need a boot for putting things, then go for forte
if u don't really need a boot, go for for M2.

appearence wise, both look nice. My wife actually prefer M2 but choose forte b'cos we need the space. M2 FC should be better than forte but forte got more standard gadget as compare to M2.

If u not in a hurry, wait & compare both cars. take the one that suit your need & you are comfortable with the payment.

Juz don't regret after you have make your choice.

Do take note that the TS is talking about Mazda 2 SEDAN which is currently not available in Singapore but in Malaysia.

For forte, the interior is great, everything is fine... maybe the front bumper.. looks too bold or short but i can live with that... the only problem is the brand KIA. Not against this brand but in malaysia KIA have not be having good reputation in terms of reliability, expensive spare parts, and extremely low resale value.... my friend had a spectra... many complains... lol

for the Mazda2, i am not considerig the hatchback... they have a sedan coming up... but i saw the interior material.. looks only fine but i duno the material...

most bro here are right.... forte should compete with altis and civic ..... mazda2 is vios and city category...

not sure also... they started in china in year 2008/2009... only china has the sedan..
now thailand is doing it now... material import from japan... but CBU to malaysia..

looks much much better than vios for sure...... before considering forte i went to see vios... really cannot accept... lol

The front look of m2 so so only leh, but side and back look not bad. Forte still look better, much better.
