Ex alarm Empty Ex alarm

Post by sc 4th February 2010, 9:47 pm

Hi all bro

i am driving a FORTE Ex. Its with regards to the alarm that is fitted. No changes to it. everything orginal. Every time i lock the car, there will be one tick sound then unlock will be two tick sound. But there was a few times when i unlock my car, 3 tick sound was heard and the red light jus below the steering wheel is still blinking. Anyone know why>?

Rgds

SC, think you might have activated the alarm before.

Let the alarm sound again and de-activate it:

1) Lock car using remote
2) Unlock car using key (alarm will sound)
3) Go inside and turn on engine
4) Press the alarm deactivate button (normally is near the right shin area)

That is what i did. Hope it helps.
Any other methods welcome. Ex alarm Icon_biggrin

Bro, i meant the small little button that is infront of the bonnet release lever. Its near the right shin area.

I am driving an EX and i can deactivate the alarm by the above method.

I have tried deactivating the alarm with the remote but subsequently, it will have 3-beeps whenever i unlock the vehicle (just like what TS is experiencing)

Cheers bro. Maybe i could take some pictures later or tomorrow and post up to show where exactly i am talking about.

Cheers. Ex alarm Icon_biggrin

The only button I can think of in a Forte is the Auto-fold mirror button.

Hi, I kena this before. Cos I was experimenting with the alarm to see how the alarm could be activated.

After that, the red light beside the steering wheel would be blinking rapidly instead of the usual slow blinking.

To "correct" this, I pressed the alarm activation (red button) on the remote alarm and stopped the alarm by pressing the unlock button. That should work for you.
