Remote boot opening function

Hello.... Juz wondering if any bro kw where i can do remote boot opening function.... EX doesn't cm wif it.....

Hi, may I check with SX owners, does the boot opening function open and close your boot like the BMW type? Or is it just to "bump" open the boot and you have to manually close it?

LOL.. e trunk release function.. as it says, only release the trunk.. u got to close it on ur own.

ok thanks, just like I guessed. I wonder if any alarm system would be able to incorporate the close function as well.

btw i just found out a lot of new jap cars like Mitsubishi are incorporating the auto open function as well. so not only continental cars have that function.

I believe aftermarket remote control can incorporate trunk release function as well, even remote start function too..

yeah but how bout the closing though, need some extra motor parts to physically close the boot. The SX remote already has the open function as well, so I guess theres a need to either modify the alarm to reconise the close. I'm searching on any DIY solutions for it now, see what comes up.

A simple idea if anyone's interested is to install gas struts on the boot. So when u remote open, the boot will fully open. This is usefull if your hands are full and at least the boot will fully open. Cheap and simple installation.

As for the closing function, I'm still searching for it. I think I'll just settle for the gas struts if it's too difficult to get the motor to close the boot.

First auto fold side mirrors.. now auto close boot.. Lol, humans sure getting pamper easily.. haha.. who knws got auto driver liao down the road..

heh, actually not being pampered, but to assist you in difficult situations. many times my hands are full with bags then scratch my boot keyhole trying to open it.

actually auto driver already exists, but many governments don't allow it cause not enough testing done, I saw it before, it's very "polite", will give way to people and signal way in advance before turning.

I was looking through their SPY alarm system and couldn't find the closing boot option, just the remote boot open.

Nvm lah, you close it manually.

Normally need to add in motor for the remote close function...

yeah, any idea where I can get the motor from? I tried searching online buy can't find any local sources.

ManCanDo is planing to have it in maybe in June or July..... so you might wanna call and asked...

For auto close, u will need to install the hydraulic bars....
