Top speed of forte

when i run in finish the engine i sure go taus off aircon and test top speed.

It's encouraging to hear all the relatively gd FCs for this car.

My family and I are planning to get the 1.6 SX (M) version. Manage to take one for a spin at the Leng Kee show room and was very satisfied with the ride~ Will post my own experiences with it when it comes Smile

130km/h so far on expressway...I doubt I will push for top speed unless there's a proper and legit place to do it. Anything happen on public road....big hole in pocket and maybe alot of grief too heh. Old liao...more and more humji.

i also eager to try out the forte's top speed no doubt the engine made, shocks, etc etc may not be as good as those from integra , rex or other car meant for racing.

300 is not the max thought, but 300 is getting common for newer racing bikes too, they managed to climb up the mark. Every big bikes can reach 300 already so its very common nowadays. only who got bigger OO to try only that all. Shocked

forte also cannot 300. i think of my family thats y i sold my bike. but it is my wife who cannot let go of the thrill when we always full throttle when going 2nd link to eat supper with kakis... i feel threatened when im going to let her drive the forte lol!! lol!

my fastest speed achieved on forte 1.6

180km/hr.
very stable.

engine felt and sounded fine.

but i badly miss a 5th gear.

Just a friendly advise, not directing at anyone: For a moment of thrill, u may live to regret for your whole life....car up lorry still ok, what if something worst happen? Want to test top speed, go to proper track. Do not endanger others.

Yah I agree. You will always think you are in control of your car, until the exact moment you aren't, it's usually too late already. If you kill or injure yourself, it's no big loss to the world. If you kill or injure other innocent people, then you gotta live with it for the rest of your life.

Even in the '40 tiang' of lim chu kang road, I've heard of strange accidents where the driver of an EVO got killed by his own exhuast pipe pierced through his chest after he crashed into a railing.

Bro, all of us were young once, if we didnt experience we wont get over satisfy, but we only need to take care n have all the safety equipments ready. You are right its for a moment of thrill compared to a life long disability or fatality. But i wont advise anyone to speed on public road also Smile

But track cannot test top speed. Neutral

if there is a stopper, the dial will stop, but if ur engine can go further, u can see ur rpm keep moving up, that also means ur speed is still increasing. u can use the rpm and calculate how much u are traveling or use a GPS which is very accurate. but dont get our bro's 900+ km/h ki chia gps lol jocolor

AYE can try coz no car or only few cars on the later stretch. Tried on my previous ride...needle cannot reach the end already stuck liao haha. Wanna be safe just go NSHW, make sure you hit the top speed before you reach the crosswind section if not good luck to you. Why you need to know top speed ? always late for work like me ? kekeke

i prefer not to take chance in singapore... expensive license... expensive fine...
summore road short... need to maintain high rev to get max speed...
with forte torque and bhp to weight ratio, might take some time to reach maximum performance...

thats what i tot too, now the new speed traps no need flash one, means it can capture ur licence plate in normal street lightnings too...

40km over speed limit and u need to go court.

I went NSHW last week, max speed in between 200 to 210, abt 205. Rev at 6000 reaching red-line. Stable, able to maintain at that speed for abt ten minutes. Afterwhich got other car have to release.....

I ever tried with my Cerato Variant 1 with 140km/h along ECP..sia lah..find that kinda scary..tried once and that's it....now..have to tink twice before u really put ur leg on the accelerator and zoom! Tink about others and most importantly..ur family and people who is inside ur car as well...

On a side note (not directing at anyone), anyone realised there are alot of 'boy' racers around in Singapore recently? Maybe cos of the cheap car prices a few months back...

Wat Bro Pillower said is true as I also test-drove his ride in NSHW which I clocked 205km/hr with 4 adults and a 5 year old kid on board, Pillower's ride is fully-stock.

ECU restrict is mostly for JDM(Japan Domestic Model) rides,however for KDM(Korea Domestic Model), no such ECU restrictions!Hahahaha...

My record breaker is 160km/h on the NSH. But I don't recommend driving beyond 120km/h as the fuel consumption is very high due to strong wind drag acting on the vehicle and high engine rpm.

I drive forte sx 1.6.but in term of speed, avante is better as my dad in law use it. It can go beyond 170km/h very stable at ns highway.but interm of looks n design forte beat it. anyway guys, lets be a responsible forteners. dont owners. wanna hear bad accident from any forte car

sorry, i dun mean to doubt u.. but at abt 200km/h for 10 MIN, u would hav covered abt 35KM.. that would bring you to Kulai already.. no traffic in between meh??

Wahh!! This is too much!! How can you go at 205km/hr with so many ppl in the car??!!! Worse of all, 5 yr old kid??!! The adults ok!! Cos if they wanna let you drive at that speed, its their own decision!! But a 5 yr old kid wouldnt know better!! Terrible!! REally!! Not a good thing to do!!

If you are alone, fair enough. I have clocked in 210km/hr or more on a camry. But I was alone. Just be careful cos there are many stretches along NSH where the road surface not very good. And many 'stupid' drivers out there.

I havent tried the top speed for Forte but I am very sure it will be quite draggy at anything above 200km/hr, even if they do not have a stopper. Prob a 2.0 not as draggy, but the 1.6s, definitely!! :-)

probably its an on and off 200lm/hr, but yes it is possible to maintain 200km/h for 10 mins, n reach kulai and further, excluding the exits n entrances n tolls.

i another think you should think more of your 5years old when driving.... i say tops 120km/h with kids.. always.. any knock even inside car (if you emer brake or something...) mayb serious for them.. esp if they not in child seat / belt (i think as you are travelling 5 ppl?)... but its a trill i know... tried ever most to 190kph in compact sedan.. already like affraid

...

but just an advise to all wanting these trills, our brain / motion reaction after 170kph will start to drag.. / delay unless you exercise regularly.. and our heart beat should be already > 140ppm.. many may not cope so well so take care...

200km/hr still not too bad for me although heart start to beat slightly faster. Thats why shocked when I found out my friends who ride up go at speeds of 260 or more!!! Crazy!! On a bike too!!! Think you parachute down from a plane also dun have so much wind pressure on you!! I may be wrong!! Hahahaha!! :-)

But seriously, 260km/hr or more is far too scary for me to take. My 2 b*lls will probably be at my throat already by 230km/hr!! Hahahaha!! :-)

260km/h is just starting to get interesting only .. the real thrill comes around 290km/hr Smile

230km/hr is really no feel unless u talking about no aerodynamic and no heavy mass vehicle ... that one confirm dingdong bell up the throat lol... Even my wife sitting behind bike at 230 still can show me hand sign.... Very Happy

Even in a car, if I not driving, and driver going too fast, sometimes even like 140, I will be afraid!! No control I guess thats why. :-)
