petrol price up again. by 4 cents

Caltex did it again. this time Caltex takes the lead to increase the pump price by 4 cents. The news I got it from www.petrolwatch.com.sg

Yah I know Malaysia still the best even though I stay in woodlands but I'm still lazy to go in to pump.

But just a rumor that next year May, only people with Malaysian IC or Passport can pump tax rebate malaysia petrol if not then have to pay full market price. Good for those Malaysian bro who drive Singapore car. they can still go in and pump cheap petrol. Maybe it is easier for them to go in with empty tank as the police in singapore custom don't bother to check since Singaporean don't go in pump petrol

4 cents due to knee jerk response of the oil market... don't feel can give and take, instead i blame the speculators...

when crude oil fell, together with green bag falling i kept watching the price nv drop.

this week just up abit immediately up, tmd blood suckers.

i heard petrol cpy bonus is 6 months......

4c is ok lah dun need purposely pump unless u are already low. Else the petrol cost to drive there and pump already off set ur "savings"

cousin got 10months before.....

but didnt esso mobil mention profit down alot this year?

maybe that why they need to increase profit.....

guess so, think they holding on alot of crude oil, need to release out end of the year, if not no profit.

to release out in a good time, means have to boost the crude oil price. maybe thats what is happening now, crude oil prices gng up.

hahah....funny. Now Caltex drop 4 cents and back to the original one. I think Caltex this time cannot influence the other 3 company.

It is a comical and sometimes unbelievable sight.

Driver comes out of their car and starts rocking/shaking the car away, oblivious to the fact that their actions sometimes resembles what couples do on bed. All in an attempt to make a trip to Johor Bahru all worth it, which means squeezing every possible drop of petrol into their car.
But does rocking/shaking a car allow you to pump more petrol? For the sheer fun of it, we wanted to prove it today.

We went to an ESSO petrol station and started our experiment. The best way to prove it is to pump the petrol to the point where it OVERFLOWS. After which we will all rock our poor Toyota Altis in unison and hopefully, the petrol level will subside and we will measure and see how much more petrol we can pump from there.

Unfortunately, our experiment is cut short with an immediate result:

1. Pump Petrol till the points it overflows: Meter Reading@45.01 litres
2. Start shaking the car: Petrol subsided.
3. Start Pumping petrol again. Petrol overflows.
Repeat (2) and (3).

Final Meter Reading@45.44 litres. Additional Petrol pumped: 0.43 litres.

And we have to add that the whole petrol station people were looking at us as if we were planning some kind of illegal activities.

Conclusion: With this meager 0.43 litre, you save about 10 Singapore cents . If you are one of these people, please do not do it in future…… else you will make yourself looking like a pent up teenager.
