Petrol Station blunder

I guess I'm still too used to my Impreza.

Drove into my usual Esso station and proceeded to a pump on my right. While I was coming to a stop, I suddenly remembered I was no longer driving my Impreza and ALSO remembered my fuel hatch is on my left!!

Fortunately there was a pump available on my left. If not, I think I would be left very red-faced. I guess the pump attendants there must be wondering why this guy drove to a right side pump and then suddenly move to a left side one. And due to my last minute changes, my ride was parked rather crooked by the pump.

Focus, man! Focus!

lol, i was also like tat for the 1st 2 pumps after switching from megane...

Someone should suggest put in the middle like bike!! Hahaha!! Then no confusion!! Hahahaha!! :-)

I thought left or right doesn't matter.... you can pull the hose over right? They are allow some flexibility.....

Except for those Felipe Massa type seen in the last Singtel F1 race....he ran away with the hose...

Also remember reading a forwarded email about how to tell which side in your car. If not wrong, if your petrol display, the handle is on your right, then your hatch on your right, if handle is on your left, then your hatch on the left.

Takes a bit of getting used to. Now driving past other cars also a little less confident compared to last time coz of the increased length and width.

Why didn't they standardise all fuel hatch, then won't have stupid ppl like me blaming my own stupidity liao?

Hmm, I wouldn't want the hose running on top of my car. And I'm not sure whether the hose is long enough coz I'm still quite unsure of my car's dimensions, so tend to park much further from obstacles.

alamak! tot finally had a foolproof way to know... also haf kena b4.. especially when you're borrowing someone elses' ride for a bit... sians...

If I'm not wrong, the arrow indicates which side your fuel cap is at

just drive nearer if u are on the wrong side and the uncle can pull the hose over, that hose quite flexible one so dun have to worry about it as long as you are near to the pump.
